They suck tonigth but still starting the first 4 games away and winning 3out of 4 it's very good! So next game at home and hope that they realize a game as 60 minutes and to win you have to play all of those 60 minutes !
Can't wait for the opening game!

Just came back from outside the Bell Centre and things are gonna get crazy inside there tonight. if anyone still needs tics, a friend as of 2 hours ago still had blues for $125 each and Reds for $600 a pair (actually thought they would be more)... drop me a pm if you need his #, the guy has sold me tics over the years and is 100% reliable, but not cheap.

Go Bruins Go!

Look behind you.
Gotta bitch about my team again............... Fucking Oilers 0-4, last 2 games 13 goals allowed............ When will the shame stop.
Our coach sucks, our goalies are at best backups and the defense is sub par.

Yes, it's early season, about 4/5 games in for most teams.

Based on how good/poor a few of my Yahoo NHL Fantasy hockey teams are doing, there's early season trends. My teams with 2+ Colorado players suck - MacKinnon, Landeskog, Varlamov. Yet team with NY Islanders - Tavares, Opokso, Halak - are doing well.

Over achieving NHL teams:
East: NY Islanders, New Jersey
West: Calgary, Nashville, Minnesota

Under achieving teams:
East: Boston, NY Rangers
West: Colorado, St Louis

Ok the penalty at the end to Kreji doubtfull ! Emelin was brighter and played the penalty! Hurray for us !
The Brun are getting old and slow , they won the cup so it's time to rebuild!
My glorious played a close to perfect game ! And it only going to get better ! 8 point out of 10 . A good team always find a way to win!
Our offense is well balanced between 3 trios!
Ça sent la COUPE

Congrats to the Red Wings for their total (and totally expected) domination of the Leafs...in Toronto...tonight.

Detroit won its road game 4-1.
Detroit outshot Toronto 35 to 24.
Detroit won 34 faceoffs, Toronto 24.
Detroit had 12 takeaways, Toronto had 4.

Henrik Zetterberg had 5 shots, 4 assists, was 65% on faceoffs and a plus 3. Phil Kessel had zero points and one lonely shot.

Nyquist had a goal. He has now scored in all 4 of Detroit's games this season. Go Goose Go!

Detroit, which finished 15th overall last year (9 points ahead of the 23rd overall Leafs) now has 5 points in 4 games - the converse of the Leafs, who have 4 points in 5 games.

The Leafs have been outshot in 4 of their 5 games so far this year...but UNLIKE last year their goalies are not bailing them out, as both Reimer and Bernier have not been stellar thus far.

Good stuff!

As expected, the Leafs lost to the Wings for the second night in a row, even though Detroit was missing Datsyuk both games and Franzen tonight.

Detroit, of course, outshot Toronto (32-30) and won 46 faceoffs compared to Toronto's 31.

Zetterberg had the winning goal and was 57% on faceoffs. Zetterberg was in on the scoring on ALL the goals Detroit scored in BOTH wins over the Leafs.

Kessel meanwhile had another 0-0-0 night and ended up minus 1, to "raise" his plus-minus on the season so far to minus 4.

Great quote from Maple Leaf Joffrey Lupul after his team's shutout loss to the Detroit Red Wings (Toronto's second consecutive loss to the Wings in back-to-back home and away games on two successive nights):

"Probably better energy than what we get back in Toronto". In other words Lupul is slamming the TO fans.

Boos regularly bounce between the walls of the ACC and in only four home games this year, the Toronto Maple Leafs have seen two jerseys thrown onto the ice in losing efforts.

Playing at home is usually seen as an advantage — partly because of the crowd — but that might not be the case for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Naw, the Leafs Nation knows their flaws. They are reinforcing the poor performance we expect this season, which will result in the following positive moves:

* fire Carlyle
* fire Nonis
* reduce Phanuef to a mediocre Dman - oops he already is one - my guess, we buyout his contract in summer 2016

Oh wait, this isn't the Leafs Nation thread, LOL.

Do you guys realize that Rick Nash has 8 goals in 8 games which leads the NHL? I have been waiting for this guy to come through for 3 years and now he seems to be doing so.
