Russian Yuliya Efimova who has been nailed twice just recently for using banned substances was still allowed to compete in Rio. She lost to American Lilly King in the breast stroke in a bitter final after being called out but Efimova still stole a silver medal. Why was this allowed??? T-R-A-V-E-S-T-Y.
Why was it allowed? Donald Trump's good buddy Vlady Putin is not only a gangster, but a very powerful man when it comes to the IOC.

I'm shocked at the quality (lacking) of the female gymnasts from China and Russia. Yeah the U.S. dominated, but when it comes to the Olympic quality of medalists the performances on their own make it seem like neither China or Russia came with their A-Team. No matter if the U.S. is a very solid team the competition should have been more competitive.

Anyone else see the women's 100 meter swimming freestyle? I was watching how the Swedish (okay Australian) sisters were doing then suddenly it seemed American Simone Manuel and Canadian Penny Oleksiak were in a battle to the death for gold. They ended up tying. Can't wait to see their medal ceremony.
Michael Phelps also got gold #22. The commentary suggested 3 or 4 swimmers had a shot in the 200 meter IM and the race would be very close. It wasn't. Phelps burst to the front during a strong breast stroke then won going away by 2 seconds, about slightly more than a body length. After that he had to qualify 38 minutes later in another preliminary and got 2nd after being 8th at the turn.
Both races, men's and women's were amazing.

Think about this. Fiji, a group of islands with less than a million people won it's first ever Olympic medal. GOLD in Rugby. England alone can draw from 53 million. Billions follow the sport worldwide and little Fiji won.
Imagine the party they will have back home! When you get to learn the rules and in and out, Rugby is fascinating to watch. Much better than baseball and american football if you ask me

She ran away from the field in the 800m freestyle breaking the World Record by about 2 seconds and finishing about 10 seconds ahead of the 2nd place swimmer who couldn't be seen on a wide angle view. She's got 5 golds, 1 she won at age 15 in London. With her dominance who knows how much more she could being only 19 years old.
