Sweden leading the USA 1-0 in women's soccer with about 20 minutes left to play. A major upset may be in the making!

This is a major upset! So cool! Just sad that pathetic goalkeeper had to bash at the sweed after loosing... No wonder her teamate cant blare her.

and canada wich beats france! Another upset! Imagine a canada-brazil final :)

Hope Solo calls Sweden 'cowards' after Americans' stunning upset loss

There's a lot of ways to deal with a crushing loss. This choice is an embarrassment, no matter how much it hurts her or how much anyone tried to excuse it because of her great inner competitive fire. Unless there was a decisive bad call somewhere she has to realize anyone can lose on a given day. Somehow Sweden's strategy was better. The better team doesn't always win. Deal with it. Don't blame the other team for handling you better on that day.

I agree. Take last night's game between Brazil and Australia. The Aussies nearly upset Brazil, who had dominated the game offensively.

Quite a lot of mental issues there, i think.

I had not read what happened. So she gave up 4 goals in a shoot out while the opposition goalie gave up 3. Clearly she failed in a round that was 100% up to her skills and wanted to blame the outcome on Sweden's defensive strategy. It makes her look very bad. Her hyper-competitiveness makes her as good as she is but obviously handling losing is the big downside of that. I know she's crushed but shame on her for blaming the other team for anything, especially since game planning is just as important a skill as athleticism and every athlete knows that.

Does Solo have mental issues? Maybe. But I think about all those times losing teams and fans of losing teams used the cheating excuse the same reasons as Solo made her embarrassing statement.

.......

Speaking of nonsense, it's not only crushed players who lose their head. How much worse is it when a person, comfortable, calm, with nothing at stake, calls someone a "TRAITOR" for something that could not make any difference in a competition.

Ashton Eaton responds to 'traitor' backlash for supporting wife Brianne Theisen-Eaton

http://olympics.cbc.ca/news/article...or-supporting-wife-brianne-theisen-eaton.html

Drama, drama, drama. America's reigning Olympic champion in the decathlon Ashton Eaton was called a "traitor" after cheering on his wife, Canada's Brianne Theisen- Eaton who entered the Olympic Games ranked No. 1 in the world in the heptathlon.

Eaton responded on twitter: "Have I not represented USA well? Yet u demand more. Ur respect is hard earned. I support the country that produced my wife;who ru2 shame me?"

What a shameless way to go after a guy who's supporting his wife. Disgusting!

GO CANADA :canada: GO USA. :usa2:

THIS IS ALSO RIO!

U.S. Swimmer Ryan Lochte Robbed at Gunpoint in Brazil

http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/20...er-ryan-lochte-robbed-gunpoint-brazil-n630396

U.S. Olympic swimmers Ryan Lochte, Gunnar Bentz, Jack Conger and Jimmy Feigen were robbed at gunpoint while in Rio de Janeiro overnight Saturday, NBC News has confirmed.

Following conflicting reports — including the IOC denying any incident took place — Lochte himself confirmed with TODAY's Billy Bush that he and the other swimmers were robbed at gunpoint.

"We got pulled over, in the taxi, and these guys came out with a badge, a police badge, no lights, no nothing just a police badge and they pulled us over," Lochte said. "They pulled out their guns, they told the other swimmers to get down on the ground — they got down on the ground. I refused, I was like we didn't do anything wrong, so — I'm not getting down on the ground.

"And then the guy pulled out his gun, he cocked it, put it to my forehead and he said, 'Get down,' and I put my hands up, I was like 'whatever.' He took our money, he took my wallet — he left my cell phone, he left my credentials."

Gentlemen

I realize that this is the sports thread but sometimes I think, with all these threads, we are getting farther away from what we are. Let us not forget what attracted us to this web site in the first place. This is an Olympian...not sure who...that I want to do:

This is an Olympian...not sure who...that I want to do:

That's Taylor Pischke, a Canadian beach volleyball player. I saw her at last year's PanAm Games in Toronto. She caught my eye right away! I was hoping to see her at the Olympics, but her team got beat out by the two other Canadian teams that went to Rio.

Here's more of Taylor:

My all-time favorite track athlete Michelle Jenneke of Australia. She races tomorrow. I think the hurdles is her event. I know what my event would be with her asshole.

Here is a Michelle Jenneke workout video. I saw her on some list in Yahoo mail called "butterface." What a bunch of bullshit. I love her face. She reminds me of Kate from GoodGirls. Enjoy.

I had a dream that I called James the other day and I said do you have any new spinners and he said yes. He said Hungry this one is kind of famous. Please do no not reveal who she is in your reviews. I open the door to this:

My God it is McKayla Maroney from the Woman's 2012 US Gymnastics team. She looks at me with that sneer and says "Crawl to me big boy with the money in your mouth." And I do it.
