Panthers do it again with a great play from Sasha to set the table for Verhaeghe’s winning goal. Seems like we will have a repeat from last year!
I guess the Leafs weren’t as bad as people thought for taking the Panthers to a 7th game without their #1 goalie since game 2. Maybe MLSE should not have been too quick to annoumce they were replacing Brendan Shanahan with midget Keity Pelley as the team’s president of hockey operations. Maybe upset Leafs fans should rethink their calls for the Leafs to blow it all up! Lol

They didn't walk into the finals, they prowled and growled their way in;

you are overlooking that in 2 critical home games with all the chips on the table, the Leafs sucked moose balls, and got drubbed 12-2.The outcome was not changing no matter who was in goal, they were going down. And they were going down for a number of reasons, and one was the chemistry of the group that they have now. Another is that their most talented offensive players are zeros in the toughness category, and it's well known throughout pro hockey. The Panthers are 1000x tougher and I saw it this year after allowing the Leafs to fool me, as they did you, into believing that they could show some pride, guts and grit. I thought experience would toughen them up, but it hasn't. They are pathetically lacking in toughness, the front office recognized this and acted, and will continue to act.

Toews Planning NHL Comeback!
Anyone can sign him!

I don't know in what shape he is, but he knows a thing or two about leadership and winning.

People are dreaming about Crosby, that will not happen. But maybe i would take a chance on Toews with the Habs.

That's why you sign him, the leadership and winning he has a history of doing. What production you get from him is gravy. I would think a lot of younger teams would want him, for the veteran leadership and mentorship, but he is likely coming back to win and not to just be a glorified mentor.
