Watching the game, I noticed that Panthers players kind of jump often on their body checks on Oilers players.
I didn't think it was legal since it target the head.
But the NHL doesn't care much players safety, the show is more important !

That Edmonton series was a very big disappointment for the Stars, Oettinger and DeBoer. Oettinger, having outplayed Connor Hellebuyck in the prior round, was poised to seize the starting goalie job for what figures to be an outstanding USA Olympic team on 2026. But he took a step back against Edmonton. Dallas as a team seemed less competitive than what I and many other people were expecting.
The disappointment was simply too much for the team's front office and fans. This is a big sports town and they had high expectations for their Stars, and they didn't expect to see them snuffed out like they were.

Its amazing how the Cats struggled all nights to get out of their zone in clear ways and they made so many major errors in overtime but managed to grab every opportunities to put the puck behind Skinner. Btw, after the first, both goalies were fabulous.

This was in part a lucky bounce off the boards which created the breakaway, but Marchand was there to pounce on it and made it count!

NUGENT--HOPKINS game-time decision......ont déjà perdu HYMAN ..ce serait un autre gros morceau.....les 2 contribuaient bcp au succès.de l'équipe/playoffs......à suivre.
Je l’ai dit, plus cette série va s’étirer, plus ce sera difficile pour les Oilers. Jusqu’à maintenant ils ont été capables d’être aussi physiques que les Panthers mais, sur le long terme, ils vont s’essouffler et ralentir.
Petite note sur Evan Bouchard; on vante beaucoup, avec raison, sa contribution offensive impressionnante, mais personnellement je ne trouve pas que son jeu défensif soit très fiable. Avec le nombre de minutes qu’on lui accorde je pense qu’au final, son impact sur le match s’en trouve pas mal diminué.
C’est pour ca qu’il n’a pas ete choisi pour la Coupe des 4 Nations. Il me fait un peu penser a Paul Coffee ou Erik Karlsson. All offence no defence. Personellement je trouve que leur meilleur defenceur est Mathias Ekholm.

Les Oilers se font sortir de leur match, c’est trop facile pour Florida de les déconcentrer, Draisaitl et MacDavid manquent cruellement de support en attaque. Ils sont attendus à la ligne bleue par 3 joueurs et se font frapper solidement. La frustration s’installe et on oublie le plan de match, on voit que l’échec avant des gros chats fait son œuvre.
We can start to seriously consider Bennett as the Conn Smythe winner, he has 14 goals so far, regardless of McDavid big achivement, I think Bennett’s contribution has been a major part of the Panthers success. It’s gonna be a tight vote.For sure, Skinner wont be part of the challenge.
