Watching the game, I noticed that Panthers players kind of jump often on their body checks on Oilers players.
I didn't think it was legal since it target the head.
But the NHL doesn't care much players safety, the show is more important !

I just saw another example by rhe hit by Verheaghy on Bouchard.
Not as bad as a precedent it but in line with his style.

Je n’irai pas jusque là, je crois toujours que, en général, les Panthers forment une meilleure équipe. Je n’ai aucune préférence en ce qui a trait au vainqueur ultime et, pour le spectacle, je veux voir cette série se rendre à la limite!

Bobrovsky est un meilleur gardien que Pickard et Skinner réunis! Et Paul Maurice est un meilleur coach que Knoblauch. Edmonton ont deux des meilleurs attaquants du circuit mais, les gros chats ont un meilleur jeu d’ensemble, même si hier ça n’a pas toujours paru.

Zito and Maurice understood perfectly where the league was heading to, and it was no secret for all the other GMs.. Maurice has develop his entire group with a very strong defense system in mind and a style that calls for grit and dedication from all 5 players on the ice at any given time.

Do they cheat sometimes? Of course they do! Hockey is a cheating game played by bullies and bums, it always been. Thats the reason why I still dont believe Montreal is going in the right direction by developing a team strictly based on skills.

The NHL has been piling up $$$$ by selling violence and fist fights before promoting finesse and skills. The team owners have seen their franchise double and triple in value during Bettman’s reign. They certainly wouldnt want to change anything.
