Americans already have the advantage of the weak Canadian dollar.

Les américains qui viennent ici pour rencontrer nos demoiselles dépensent beaucoup d'argent dans les restaurants et les commerces de détail notamment. Remember that Trump received only about 31% of the vote. Harris got about 30%. Most of the remaining 39% were people who did not vote or who supported a minuscule % of fringe wackos. I voted for Harris.I have always voted a straight Democratic ticket. How about if you hear from an old American who has always loved Canadians and who has been visiting Canada ever since early childhood.

Do not believe the Trump lie that he received a mandate. Do not let Trump occupy a room in your head. Why would I visit Canada regularly for all these years if I did not love Toronto and Montreal and the people who live here? I am profoundly ashamed of and in disagreement with present anti-Canadian threats and policies. Stay strong. You have friends in the US and all over the world. Watch the Wisconsin Supreme Court race. That could signal "the end of the beginning."

Like @MrPrezident, I'm also profoundly ashamed, and I appreciate his positivity. A rate hike (tax? lol) wouldn't work, though I get the outrage. My approach is to visit Montreal more often and spend lavishly to support the local economy!

How would any agency know I am American if I am using a Canadian burner phone or an email to confirm my bookings?

Seriously tough nah that is not only unpractical but would hurt the business of said escorts and agency for nothing. I understand we all fed up with Trump and his nonsense but at the same time, got to keep a cool head.

As i said many times, lots of peoples were pushed to the point of turning to Trump. I don't think it has to do with "brown woman" but mostly that Harris looked like an extension of Joe Biden. They were unhappy with him and therefore why would they vote his Vice-President?

Peoples turned to Trump because they didn't liked the then current ways things were going. And if judging his first Presidency alone, Trump was fine. I for one never expected he would go the way he did. I said it before and ill say it again, i would had surely voted Trump if i was in the US, but i would regret it now. His second mandate look like a bad parody that should be on Saturday Night Live and not in the real world. And its only been a bit more than a month. Im glad he was able to get a good chunck of the Israel hostages out (wich i think if Harris was in office at the moment, they would still be locked in Gaza terror tunnels), but outisde of that, its just been nonsense after nonsense. Making ennemies out of allies and bending the knee to actual ennemies. Naming Kennedy at the head of the health ... All the stuff he said about Canada, Groenland, cutting Ukraine's fund... yikes. And the worst part is that Vance just look as bad as him. He look just as arrogant (or as we say in french, un criss de fandant) but he is much younger and now i really hope this dude does not turn out to be President after Trump (whatever it is 4 years or for some reasons he step down before).

Yeah, hanging up a sign that says “we hate Americans” is a great business strategy.

The 25% “tariff” will come from the escort tip, and we’d impose a 15% tariff to accommodate our travel fees.

My point is….Business 101 and common respect by all. I mean, the response to tariffs by both countries has gone so well we should replicate it in a fun hobby known for enjoyment and camaraderie.

And for the record, the last phone call I had with Trump on the tariff situation, I said, “Mr President…..”

Let the politicians battle it out. I would think our business as escorts is to spread joy & love, not feed into the economic war. It isn't the citizens who wanted this. They are mostly victims to their inactivity, lack of voter turnout. They are being punished enough by their own government, I see no reason to treat anyone different, be it people from the states, or anyone else in the world.
