a GT in montreal... who's interrested?

For me if this was on sat july 10th i would probably go and take a special guest with me female of coursebut i agree with the K man it is up to everyone to pick the date that suits the majority of people.
Too bad i'll be in Toronto for the Red Sox series that weekend. I could have brought Abby.
So we'll postpone it to July. It's always a pleasure to see our friends from the States or others parts of Canada.

There was a GT in the work on the blue M E R _C forum... But like always, their project does not seems to take off, probably due to the high number of "idiots" and "phonies" involved in their threads.
It would be great, for me, to finaly meet with serious hobbyists from big "M" city...

sounds like a plan, and boy, you take initiative, i was just throwing it out at you half heartedly and you didnt waste anytime, lol... i wonder what Indy's will come, and if any agencies will follow suit like last time and be present? Billy? Martin/Claude? anyone else?
even if the Devilish party did go on as planned on july 15th, thats perfect as people coming from out of town for that gt could also come to this gt, 2 gt's in 3 nights would be awesome, but like K said, the Devilish gt does not appear to be happening.

With summer officially here, I find myself going out more, of course. When I read a few weeks ago (months?) of a forthcoming GT, I thought: "Great!, It's been a long while since I shared a drink with some of the boys". Say all you will about sausage fests, GT's needing a bajillion girls or they be unsuccessful, and all the arguments many will no doubt spill, I still remember that the initials GT stand for Get-Together, and are not a fancy way of designating 'trade-show!"...
This last statement might seem incredibly ironic, especially coming from me. I helped inflate what used to be a much more modest type of gathering, until it became almost "de rigueur" to have as many girls as men present. I'll admit to having abdicated the position of GT organizer due to the ever-increasing expectations that became impossible to fulfill...
But I still enjoy our yearly get-together, and I love to chitchat with the american mafia as I call them (Special K, Voyager, JoeT. and Rumples, Doc and the Beav' sometimes), and spend more time with Techie, Roland, Wide Open and many others. To me, the act of catching up and sharing a good laugh with my "homes" is what keeps me coming back whenever one of us decides to set a date...

So I hope an actual date gets picked and people stop trying to change it for their own convenience...I might even show up....

a good buddy of mine, that you also happen to know was just telling me saturday while we were taking in the incredible sights along St Laurent, that you would be the perfect guy to take over the GT plans as you used to do a great job in the past!
