Just heard this during the intermission of the Leafs game on TSN, apparently he had a heart attack playing hockey with his 19 year old son in LA.

Great Canadian actor and person. He will be missed.

RIP Mr. Thicke

I pretty much learned english watching growing pains and other great show in the mid-eighties. Beside I was in love with the young girl in that show!

Always sad to see somehow go so fast, heart stopped.

I already wrote here that I once witnessed a men die of a heart attack down on a beach. That was a turning point in my life. What followed is I divorced. Started seing SP. Sold some work related investment and property and freed up half my working schedule. Now I fucking enjoy each day that I wake up alive!

Cheers!

I had a big scare over the summer, and have totally re evaluated everything.
Get a treadmill test if you are over fifty for sure, and get a regular checkup.

But to drop dead while doing something you enjoy is not a bad way to go.

A few years ago I was sent for a stress test with a cardiologist. If you guys never had one what they basically do is strap a bunch of electrodes to your body and put you on a treadmill and then you walk and run on the treadmill for around 15 minutes. While I was doing this I asked the technician, "hey, anyone ever collapse from a heart attack while doing this?" The lady then said to me, "did you happen to notice the ambulance in our back parking lot?" And I said, "yeah I did." She then said "that's why it's there." So I said, "okay, but I was more interested in knowing if any treadmill heart attacks happened on "your watch" as testing tech so to speak?" She then admitted to me that there were.

I passed my stress test. My cardiologist told me I have a 1% chance of developing cardiovascular diseases. I guess he liked my test results.

I agree. It beats the hell out of a long, painful death from cancer. I know my dad suffered.

I want to go by heart attack at the end of my session with a few Euphoria girls or maybe Gabrielle Garneir. I just hope they have the good sense to dress me and then drop my body off at some fund raiser...maybe a Habitat for Humanity event. And for God's sake please remove that chin dildo you made me wear Gabrielle! LOL.

Let that be a lesson to you all. He was playing hockey at 70. He over stepped his ability and believed he was 40 years old. More people die in the sack than you know. Do not over step your ability.

The human body is an enigma. Some guys can drink smoke and eat like shit and live until their 90. Others like Thicke who were in relatively decent shape and were clearly active collapse and die at 69. I think genetics plays a huge part in how long you live. As does mental state. Those in high pressure jobs who work 60+ hours per week are more susceptible to earlier death there's little doubt about that.

I too grew up watching Growing Pains. One of my fav shows of all time. Thicke played that role as Dr Jason Seaver superbly. But what I respect most about him was he never forgot his roots and stayed humble despite his success. RIP Mr Thicke.

About 20 years ago I had a client who was in his mid 40s and he worked as a stockbroker. He was one of the fittest mid 40s guys I knew at the time, not an ounce of fat on him (looked like a pro athlete), didn't smoke or drink and ate well, but had a very stressful job. And bad hearts in his family. He suffered a heart attack which he survived and eventually left that profession. I represented him on his legal claim against the short term disability insurance company when he went out of work which we eventually settled. He eventually moved on to another business. I can't recall what but less stress. You also have to learn to deal with stress or it will eat you up.

Stress is a killer no doubt. Just another reason to see more SP/MPA's :D

Terrible when it happens in front of your kid.

It's smart to change bad habits but be sure your body can handle any exercise you might choose to take up. Also be careful to check if you have any special issues. From what I understand jogging guru Jim Fixx had numerous health issues and died young at 52 overcompensating with risky methods. A significant contributing fact was Fixx had a congenitally enlarged heart and other stress factors. Be careful how you try to correct an issue. Get professional guidance.

Your relatives might not see the humour in it though.
It would make for a great discussion at the funeral parlour.

A few years ago someone i knew died exactly this way, while in bed with his mistress. A mistress no one knew about, including his wife and kids. Now every time i hear his name mentioned, someone replies "Oh, the guy who died while fucking his mistress." He was once well-regarded by people who knew him and he was an honorable man. Now he's just the guy who died while fucking his mistress. Sad.

But at least she called 911. I'm not sure an sp would. And i'm fairly certain an sp doesn't even know herself if she would.

Many years ago, a client found an sp unconscious in his bathroom. He panicked, not really knowing what to do. But instead of calling 911, he called the agency and they sent two guys to come and pick her up. I was told they carried her out, but this is hard to believe since they would have to go through the lobby. Unless they used a fire exit door. Anyways, she turned out to be okay. She had overdosed or something while in the bathroom.

Sorry, I', calling an ambulance if an SP passes out in my presence. I'll think of a lie later but if it is my reputation and human life I hope to God I chose human life.
