Can we take your paragraph as exemplar of Canadians being poor writers, completely ignorant of English grammar?

Here's the thing. Americans are stupid. Americans are people. Therefore, people are stupid. Despite the logical fallacy, it tends to be pretty true.

Americans are more insular that say Canadians or Europeans. But then, so are Russians and Chinese people. What of it? Borat and the current Bruno films serve to point out the inadequacies of American society in a far more articulate and funny manner than some $random youtube clip, or even, Rick Mercer.

You may want to ask your uncle the prof to teach you some proper grammar.
