Yeah well it would be nice to chat this time instead of passing glances like at the last GT.

The last time GTs were brought up no one seemed to be interested in attending. Without someone to organize it, I doubt it will get off the ground. But I would be willing to drop by if something comes together.

Works for me. I've always liked the HDLM for a GT.

But as an alternative...How about Canada Day, 10 PM at the old port? Even if no one shows up we can still claim it as the biggest GT ever held!

Someone proposed the weekend of June 12th-14th.. It would work well for me. I imagine Saturday would be better.

I am thinking that we have two options depending on how many people show interest. We could meet in a publc place and anyone can come or we can make it smaller and more private. I know that some ladies prefer private gatherings.. but anyhow lets keep the ideas flowing..

Good idea, Maria but it wouldn't hurt to do a bit more promo than that. The MODS might allow a temporary sticky to announce it and allow for RSVP. Also invitations to agencies and Indys to RSVP always helps. In the past this has always been a drawing card. Shijak always managed to come through on that one, with at least one agency. And of course with a recession on I can see where a promotional opportunity would be attractive. Beyond that just make sure Ronnie shows with her win-a-kiss spinner button and you're off to the races.

These are relatively simple, easy to do and put it all on a more solid footing. In any event, I'm in!

NO! I want the men all for ME. LOL Just kidding! Plus I alway have so much fun with the other girls. It is a nice oppostunity to meet between ladies.

Going up to the top sounds like a good idea but we usually meet around the grand piano in the lobby.. is it still there? I haven't gone there in a while. The people who feel like migrating to the top can do that too. You are right, it is a beautiful view!

Allo, petite Maria...Je vais tres bien merci, je suis assez silencieux ici mais je ne suis jamais bien loin des nouvelles. L'idée d'un GT me plait, surtout si j'aurais finalement l'opportunité de te voir en blonde...

I am definitely ok with a mid-June GT, especially if it occurs on a saturday night...it's been some time since I last saw the sunrise on a sunday...

If you want to hear my opinion: I think since it has been so long since last there was a GT here in Montreal, I wouldn't mind the gathering to be small, just with the people who want to be there (If anyone has paid attention, I've mentioned previously how fond I was of some early GT's that had a couple handfuls of males, with a smattering of ladies that showed up and really knew how to have fun...) I'd be up for a few hours of drinks at the HDLM of our little group, then off to Wanda's until closing time, and for those of us with actual stamina to spare--afterhours knoshing until well after sunrise!! Let's see the bunch in Quebec city keep up with THAT!!!

For the actual date of the GT, how about putting out the call to some of our illustrious out-of-town members, and see when they could actually get their asses over here (since the GP has bitten the dust, they might need another reason to get up here...)
