Yes went to the memorial cup finals against Jacques Martin and the Guelph Platters .
The Hull Olympiques had great players and coach but lost.

I only attended one Memorial Cup tournament. In the early 90's. Ted Nolan was coaching the Sault Greyhounds. I spoke to him at the hotel i was staying at. Very nice guy. Bob Hartley was also there coaching the Laval Titans. Martin Lapointe was their captain. I think Jacques Lemaire's nephew, Emmanuel Fernandez, was their goalie. Chris Pronger was also there with the Peterborough Petes. I believe Dick Todd was coaching them at the time, if i remember correct. I also remember a team from Swift Current. The Broncos. Habs draft pick Brent Bilodeau was playing for them at the time. I later learned that disgraced hockey coach Graham James was coaching them at the time. Of all the players in that tournament, the one who impressed me the most was defenceman Philippe Boucher, a future NHLer.

I didn't realize that Jacques Martin had coached the Platters. I believe he also coached the Cornwall Royals.

The Platters must have changed their name to the 'Storm' shortly after that.

I also followed other leagues and tournaments. For example, RBC Cup (like yourself), the Allan Cup and the Dudley-Hewitt Cup, among others. I agree that some top-calibre talent could be found in those leagues and tournaments.
