My Dad still has this one on his desktop . Dave Parker throw's a canon to Gary Carter ! Stuff of Legends !

I remember this play. What a throw!

But for me an even better throw was by former Expo Ellis Valentine, whom i remember gunned down a runner at third base when Valentine was nearly against the right-field fence!

Another good trio in hockey was the trio of Charlie Simmer-Dave Taylor-Marcel Dionne when they were with the LA Kings.

Want another great duo? None other than the Islanders' Bryan Trottier & Mike Bossy, two great hall-of-famers.

How about The British Bulldogs? One of them was Davey Boy Smith, who just happened to be Brett Hart's brother-in-law at the time. Jim Neidhart was also a brother-in-law.

Actually Doc went to see the Blonds wrestle in Ottawa in 1974 they where a major pull back then .

I saw them also at around the same time. Others i saw 'live' back in the day on various cards were Edouard Carpentier, Jacques Rougeau Sr., Gilles "The Fish" Poisson, Don Leo Jonathan, Maurice "Mad Dog" Vachon & his brother Paul "The Butcher" Vachon, Vivianne Vachon, Dino Bravo & Gino Brito, Tarzan "The Boot" Tyler, Andre "The Giant" (who was known as "Le Geant Jean Ferre" at the time), Yvon Robert Jr, Jackie Wiecz, Sweet Daddy Sikki, Gentleman Jim Kelly, Bull Gregory, Vladek "Killer" Kowalkski, Sugar Cane Chimo, Mr. Universe Roy Callander, referee Luigi Massera, The Green Hornet, The Great Mephisto, Sailor White, Abdullah the Butcher, the Kiwiis which incl. Sweet Williams and Crazy Nick Carter, Sky Low-Low, Little Beaver, Little Brutus & many others. Those were during the pre-steroid days, although Mr. Universe Roy Callander likely was on the juice at the time due to his bodybuilding past.

I met Gentleman Jim Kelly one afternoon on the street during a walk. He was staying at a nearby cottage. Very nice guy and he even went back to his place to get some 8X12 pictures and autographed them for my group. Andre "The Giant" i also met once outside thing ring and told us to call him "Jean". As mentionned, he was known as Jean Ferre back then. I also met the Baron Von Rashke one time at a mall in Minnesota. He was out shopping with his wife. Very nice man & it turned out he lived in the area.

Great times!!!!

I never saw those two wrestlers, but i do remember Creatchman.

Another baddie that i do remember is Michel "Justice" Dubois, but i don't recall ever seeing him live.

Another story:

One evening back in 2003 or 04, i was in Mtl to celebrate my birthday. After seeing Ann of ChloeMtl, i went out with a hobbyist named Traveller099. He was a very tall middle-aged lad from the Boston area. He picked me up at the Vogue & we went out for a couple of drinks at Thursday's.

The next day or so, i was chatting it up with the owner of AllissaMtl and she told me that she also happened to be at Thursday's the previous night. She added that there was a group of guys next to her and they happened to be WWF wrestlers, She recognized the likes of Kevin Nash & Scott Hall among the group. I was somewhat into pro wrestling back then and it would have been great to recognize those guys!

The Sutter brothers also deserve serious consideration. Darryl, Brian, Duane, Brent, Rich & Ron Sutter all made it to the NHL. I doubt we will ever see 6 sibblings ever make it to a major professional league again!

My knowledge of golf is much better than of any other sport, and I don't see much mention of golf in these sports threads, so I'll limit my attention here to the royal and ancient game.
In international competitions such as the Ryder Cup, the doubles format is important. The most famous such pairing is probably the "Spanish Armada", Seve Ballesteros and Jose Maria Olazabal, who were instrumental in establishing in the late 80's the tradition of dominance in this event which the Europeans have maintained ever since.
Perhaps the strongest RC team ever was the 1981 US squad, headed by the terrifying pairing of Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus.
In the 1960's, the Canada Cup (subsequently named World Cup) was dominated by the pairing of Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer, who won the cup for the US several times.
