Is 40 West the one in a shopping mall somewhere out towards Dorval? We had a pretty good meal, service and ambiance (ence) there but it is a bit bizarre to find this place in a shopping mall in the middle of nowhere.
I rank it up there with the better meat and service around, including the major US steakhouses. Moishes is gloomy, the food and service not as good at all.
As for the best steaks ever, a place called Johnny's (a long time ago) in the middle of the stockyards in Omaha, Nebraska, and just about anywhere in Argentina. The Grill Room in Chicago is up there too, but I like 40 West if I have the right place.
