I rarely see ads for SPs without a full length pic, a pussy pic, or a anonymous pic of some sort. Is it stll possible for SPs to post ads with just a text description?

yeah it happen often and just as sergejean say its better putting no pic than a fake one.. had a few badluck where the girl had very old picture and where more fat than what the picture shows but never caught a fake picture case, i like to know whats on the menu so i avoid these no picture adds.
I would think that if an SP places a fake pic on the ad many of the clients that have been fooled will post unfavorably about her.

If you are talking about Samy, this is misleading in a couple of respects, because when she burst on the scene with First Time she DID have pics, which were very representative, and secondly, after she left First Time and went indy, Samy appeared at many GTs and private parties (including one I attended), and therefore many people like me saw her, and talked to others who didn't about what she looked like. So it was not as though she was completely unseen either in terms of pics that were in fact out there, or being seen in person which is a much greater advertisement than even the best possible pic she had while she worked for Tommy at First Time.
I don't think it is possible for any escort to be successful without pics or without having some industry people with credibility meet her, and before I ever met Samy I had seen her pics at First Time, and I had also met her in person at a private dinner party.
I agree with Lily that pussy pics are distasteful. I like pics that leave a little bit (not too much!) to the imagination.
I personally would not see any escort without pics or having met her, although in the past on short notice and in scramble mode I did see some escorts who had no pics.

She has not had any advertising in about the last 5 years other then attend the odd gt and you are right that is very good advertising. She is still meeting enough clients that she does not feel the need to advertise and that is very difficult to do in todays competitive sp scene. I guess she has built up a steady repeat client base. I also agree that having pics is much better for business and i to find pussy shots to be distasteful. Samy also had one or two pics at a site called french girlfriends i do believe at one time and i am trying to recall if i seen those pics before or after i met her. I think it may have been after as someone may have posted a link to them. Note when i posted my original post i was under the influence of to many buds and i should have mentioned that she did advertise early but hasn't advertised other then attend gt's in the last 5 or 6 years

Now now JJ you may want to be careful for the slightly twisted here on Merb when using the expression, had too many buds. Could be the Weisers or the flowering type.
The way things are, I prefer a pic and good review before I launch my missiles. Why take a chance?

Drinking and posting is almost as dangerous as drinking and driving. If the Mods are not around to clean up the mess, one can embarrass oneself with drunken posting. I know this from personal experience. Now I only post when sober.
I recall a few years ago a regular poster, who shall remain nameless, posted to inform MERB that an escort had arrived at his door, taken one look at him and rejected the appointment for reasons he could not understand. The thread was apparently started within minutes after the rejection had occurred, which was at around 2 am or so. Only many hours or perhaps even a day later, after the thread had dramatically carried on for several pages, did the poster admit he was drunk and that was likely why the escort had rejected him. He was obviously also drunk when he started the thread. The thread was completely useless. It's entirely appropriate for an escort to reject an appointment with someone who is drunk and who seems out of control. It should not be written about, and it is not newsworthy to the MERB community.
Back to the subject of pictures: not having pictures in one's advertising is not a business model that is to be recommended. Anyone who comes away from this thread thinking it should be attempted is foolish.

99.99% of the time i do post when i am sober but i will try to do better in the future, i apoligize to all for not learning how to walk on water yet
