The Conservative platform is based on The Bible and traditional family values and paternalism is a strong factor in that party. That is the so called right-wing platform. That government would never support something that goes against The Bible. There are several verses in The Bible about prostitution. Having said that had it been any other party besides the Conservatives prostitution would be still legal and all those old surrounding laws around prostitution would not be there. The Supreme Court threw out those old laws. Also keep that when The Supreme Court legalized lapdancing in 1999 it was Jean Chretien The Liberals that were in power.
