i would really hope that we can come up with a template that stays away from degrading rating 1 -10 system. That is so subjective. i would say for example.......Did she resemble photos ? Check one : Disappointed overly photoshopped, Somewhat Resembles, Accurate, Better than photos.....................and the same type routine for other info

Remember, everything can be said in life but there is a right way and a wrong way in saying it.

Absolutely agree!

That is why I would like the site to put some emphasis on who is reviewing. I think there would not be so much white knighting if we knew a bit more about the reviewer. I am not against negative reviews. I am against rants.

Fred Zed - Ratings are subjective by nature whether it's 1-10 or good, better, best or the prettiest of the 6 escorts I've seen etc. that's all subjective There is no way to get away from subjectivity on a review board. Assigning a number to a level of service, attitude, or look makes it easier to compare, rank and do searches like TER does. You are not going to get away from subjectivity.

I would like to make sure that there is the option to leave acronyms. Reviews without acronyms are pretty much worthless. If we are just going to leave a a few lines of general pleasantries than there is no reason to have a review board. Call it the Montreal Escort Advertisement Board. I hope that we can have a template followed by a section where you can write your review as long or short and as detailed as you want.

Yes Jali - The White knighting is counter productive.

I think Patron should be brought in as an “Anthony Fauci” like consultant on this matter of tweaking merb board review format as his knowledge is probably unparalleled

Having a template to HELP members who don't know how to formulate a review or what to say is a good thing. That being said it should ABSOLUTELY NOT be "mandatory" or a rule to fill it. The peoples who make short (maybe lacking a bit of info) type of reviews will just stop reviewing. The "novelist" well personally im 50/50 on them, on one side sometimes i love to read their reviews, sometimes its going overboard, but in any case they review and thats the important thing.

Ill be honest, when i review an unreviewed provider on TER i need to fill out her "form" and this is taking so much time and so much of the questions i need to put "i don't know".

Yes i would love in a way to have a very informative review wich says if she provided x,x,x services, but the reality is the guys who want to put it will put it, others who don't want to put it don't. If we force them, they may just not review or say "don't know".

Personally if i can sugest an improvement for reviews, its something i stated before. Get rid of the incall/outcall sections, combine everything under ONE section as it really do not matter ultimately if the meeting was incall or outcall. If you want to do more than 1 section i dunno have 1 section for indies, 1 for agencies reviews or such. But having 2 threads per provider because one is outcall and the other incall is REALLY splitting things too much for no point.

As for services/acronymes i think they are and should remain at the discretion of the REVIEWER. Im the first wich is annoy a bit when nothing is said on that, but at the same time if the guy didn't partook and was not interested in cim, obviously im not asking him to gather the info for us. So if he has nothing to say on it, so be it.

I'd say create an "interactive" template (something like if A and B but not C then jump to G or H) with input from SP's and agencies and a dozen or so "reliable" hobbyists.

who are, repeat, who are those "reliable hobbyists"? The world wonders

...

Way too long dude. Its not pertinent to put infos that can be gathered on her website or such. Like her description or age. Smoking Status is also something that does not matter ultimately. I mean i really dislike cigarette smell but if she brush her teeth/have mouthwash before seeing me, couldn't care less if she smoked before, im sure lots of ladies i seen do it but i just never noticed it. Social media also is something not every client use so why should they have to go hunt that info. Date of encounter... how many peoples reviews weeks, months after the meeting to avoid being "recognized", don't ask them to remember such infos lol. Ethnic background... again, its something you can see by the pictures or her ads(the big lines) and the rest im not gonna ask her like if she has irish or polish descent etc lol.

speak for yourself

description? how many times have there been guys writing that there are major discrepancies between the pictures posted in the ads and what the girl actually looked like

age? how many girls who are still listed as 20 years old five years after they started on the scene. c'mon now

smoker status? again, lots of guys abhor the faintest smell of cigarette. they oughta know

im skipping the rest because youre completely out to lunch

Services don't always matter to clients, they don't all want the same thing and are not always what makes an encounter perfect.

again this is an invitation to having just airy fairy reviews that are useless. maybe the clients you see dont care about these things but theres a whole lot of guys out there who want to know this stuff

Great idea. Would probably help those that don't review often the most.

I think having a structured format convention within the title would also help when searching.

As for the platform, there are a multitude of vbulletin features that could also be considered. Increasing the PM limits, Up/down votes on posts, thank you button - this could reduce the amount of posts per thread and help keep it clean.

I think what people forget about this hobby is that even tho these girls offer a paid sex service it still remain as a privilege. And not a right.

Like your driving license. You pay for it but it's still a privilege.. You can have it revoke if you fucked up.

Even if a girl is being reviewed as doing a great cimws finish to one she might refuse another one. How to deal with that in reviews after? This hobby is very very very YMMV so every guy should know that and learn. I do not get the same service now as when I start 5 years ago. The first agency girl I ever saw took me for granted, saw I was a newbie and gave me friendly minimal service. Instead of ranting I slowly learned.

That is why I put so much emphasis on knowing a bit about who's reviewing.

On medical forum boards (I work in that field) everyone is really careful about what they post and who answers. Like in this hobby there is very often a thin line between the type of services offered ;)

' As for the TER-like review system, as EagerBeaver mentioned, why the need to enter info such as hair colour and everything? Most girls maintain an online presence, with pictures that are rarely more than a month old.

You are putting the chicken before the egg, and on escort review boards it mostly doesn't work that way, at least not with me, and probably not with most others. The first I often hear of someone is when I read her review on MERB. I do not scour escort online websites or social media- there is too much information, and not enough time to sort it all out. I (and I suspect many others) come to the review board first, whether it is or was TER, MERB, or whatever. If I read a review I want to know age, height, body type, ethnicity, what the hair color is, fake boobies (yes/no) whether there is tattoos (yes/no) piercings (yes/no) English fluency (yes/no) etc. and THEN, if all the basic criteria are checked off, only then will I look further at websites/twitter/instagram or whatever. This is how the informational process starts- with the review. At least in my world it does. It never goes in reverse. I also do not want to waste time on photoshopped or old pics. I presume the website pics are old or possibly fakes, and the review will tell me if they are.

This is why SA has a search function. I can do a default search with my specified age group, hair color, body type, ethnicity, etc. I am not going to look through pages and pages of women, I am going to get a streamlined group of matches- maybe 30. I then take the top half of matches on looks and send 15 messages, 3 get answered, and I am in business. It is no different searching for the right escort. Your method of searching would require infinite search time, and my search time is finite.

I think what is necessary is this:

- Did she have a website? Twitter profile?
- Booking procedure? (screening required, email only, phone only, email and phone)
- Was she on time? Did she stay the entire duration?
- Were her pictures recent and accurate?
- GFE - were the standard services offered? were any extras available?
- PSE - were the standard services offered? were any extras available?
- Would you repeat?
- Comment section

** if the provider has pages and pages of reviews, I don't think the first two are needed each time **

A template from people who contribute would make life so much easier. A brief synopsis of the encounter afterward would be ok, but I really just want to know the specifics found in a template so I will know if I should even bother looking more into the SP. If an escort has an issue with the template she can simply have a no review policy.

MERB - a place where hobbyists can search for an escort to bang. I'm interested in things that will make my encounter more enjoyable. I could care less about their website or Twitter profile.

I don't have a strong opinion on it. I see the value of a template, but also like the freedom and creativity that goes into some of the freehand reviews. Even one-liners can be valuable when they are from trusted reviewers.

Could not DISAGREE more ... when I screen for a date, first question I ask the booker or lady direct if indie - do they/do you smoke ... YES ... it is in their skin, on their clothes in their hair ... yuck. If they lie, first minutes in door you can tell and will turn them away. So i think there are others too that would feel the same and WANT to know - Do They Smoke.

Also airbrushing of tattoos and such in photos - perhaps covered by are photos accurate, but perhaps the question of skin markings. Again, some don't care, some really do ... important to know.

Why. You are one of them, of course. :high5:

I'll defer to the Mods to nominate who they believe would be able to provide constructive inputs in this process.

I hate the idea of a template. People keep dreaming about some sort of objective review system as if that is possible. This is by definition a subjective interaction and exchange. I think the only thing that needs to change is getting rid of the incall\outcall distinction.
