Gosh, I guess it wasn't because of low ratings and being unfunny after all, as the Donk in Chief tried to sell to his merry band of mouth-breathers.
His second quarter ratings were down more than Colbert or Fallon's were, and he was way behind Colbert in total market share:
So the stats show his ratings were declining and sucking donkey dick and monkey balls, although all of Late Night TV ratings are way down. Essentially they are under pressure from their networks to talk and behave like assholes so as to get ratings, and the results are the shows that we have been seeing,

None of these guys are Johnny Carson or Dave Letterman.

After speaches like that, their body guards better keep their eyes openned. Trump and Vance motivated wannabe assassins !
Also he just pissed off the Taliban. Talk about being a total shit disturber. He got them off America’s back in his first term too. I guess he enjoys acquiring targets to his head.

The idiot war monger advisers working behind the scenes with their shit advice.

So what did you think about trump's words about hating his opponent and vance saying it was "they" who killed kirk? That may not have been fascist, per se, but it sure keeps the base angry and hateful. Words like that only fuel more violence, don't you think?
Being angry is a deeply human reaction - especially when it comes to stages of grief. I also believe that expressing that anger - especially in defence of someone’s right to free speech - underlines that very same principle. Anger in itself isn’t dangerous, it’s how people choose to act on that anger. So far, they’re expressing emotion, not acting out violently. There’s a big difference between being angry and being violent.

They’ve actually been expressing a lot more about their faith - constantly bringing up God, Jesus, the Lord, and quoting scripture. It’s kind of annoying personally, but hey, whatever floats their boat to help them cope. Honestly, it felt like I was tuning into a televangelist show.

What I do know is that there was nothing hateful about this memorial. It was weird IMO - but not hateful lol. What’s hateful is the protests and the desecration of vigils of him everywhere from the left.

When you have the president of the united states saying he literally hates his opponents - that's hateful. One would expect more out of the "leader of the free world". Maybe have some emotional maturity - even if you really do "hate" your opponents, you don't have to put that message out there. What purpose does that serve? The words of the president in this context should and do serve a purpose.

When the Right says this stuff, it's just expressing anger.
When the Left does it, it's inciting hateful rhetoric that will be the downfall of all society and turn us into trans furry commies using litter boxes to poop in.

My fursona is obviously going to be a sheep.

However, it's not an isolated incidence of anger. Anger has been baked in to our politics and our DNA for decades and exacerbated during the trump era. Right-wing media, trump, and MAGA constantly feed red meat to the base to keep the base angry, hateful, and fearful. Constant anger is dangerous and can result in deadly violence especially in a country that is armed to the teeth like America. Studies has shown that the majority of political violence in the U.S. is by right-wing extremists. And by the way, using Kirk's own words to document who he was and his politics is not hateful, it's being honest.

To be perfectly honest, I never heard of Charlie Kirk before he was shot and never heard a single one of his speeches before or since, except this one posted by Captain Renault in another thread. In this exchange (again, the only time I have ever heard Kirk speak), I believe he shows himself to be a masterful debater and he shuts the mouth of a dumb-ass anti-Israel protester:

Didn’t know him either until he got shot and saw the way he approached things.

He got way too close to the Crowd with his in your face approach. In a mass unpredictable gathering format. Very brave for doing so but that is going to incite the kind of response that took his life.

I will always remember that the people of de USA democratically elected Donald Trump knowing that he is a major criminal. What a STUPID PEOPLE !!!!
I don't completely disagree with you, but I'd like to put that in context. Politically the U.S. is deeply and evenly divided so presidential elections decided on the margins. Independent voters in 6 or 7 purple, swing states determine the winner. Unfortunately, many of these swing voters make voting decisions largely based on how things are going for them personally and in the country today. At election time there was high inflation and voters were angry about it. They neglected to consider that 1) whomever was president would be dealing with a stubborn post-COVID inflation, and 2) that no candidate can promise immediate inflation relief as trump did. Border security was also an issue, but swing voters apparently neglected to consider that trump and republicans nixed border security legislation. They didn't want the border fixed, rather they wanted it to be a campaign issue. These swing voters have an affinity for rejecting the incumbent and to elect somebody new. In 4 years they will vote out the candidate or political party they voted for in the previous election. Are they stupid? Maybe some are but mostly they are disgruntled, selfish, and poorly informed. Of course don't get me started when it comes to MAGA voters because most of them are either stupid or have been radicalized.

His retorts sound good on the surface, but tends to ignore the masses of evidence that Israel has, in fact, committed war crimes. But if you ignore all that, then yes - his answer is great. Had the questioner come armed with actual examples, he might have been better off.

Thank you Jazzman for your clear exclplanations. I know and understand everything you are saying because here in Quebec we are the mouse next to the sleeping elephant of the USA and we must always monitor what is happening in the south. But there is no valid explanation when a people elects a pathological liar, rapist and thief. It says a lot about the values of a people. I would be so ashamed to live in the USA. Half of the people gave their vote to a human waste that smell of shit. Not just the margins, not just the MAGAS, half the population of the entire country. This man has a lot of blood on his hands because of all the bad decisions he makes. He should go to prison for the rest of his life !!

War is the crime by nature if not by definition. There were no wars even that were right ones by our view where mass murder of scores of civilians was not committed. The standing up example is WWII when millions of Japanese and German civilians were killed in indiscriminate aerial bombardments by our brave pilots. When combatants are deliberately intermixed with the civilian population like in Gaza, the civilian deaths are unavoidable unless Hamas surrenders unconditionally and immediately. This what world should be demanding from the very beginning instead of protesting against Israel. Of course, Jews needs to be held to an impossible high standard as always

Thank you for your thoughts. I understand your concerns and agree with your assessment. To me it was a "no-brainer" just based on his depraved character alone much less the litany of other reasons making him so unfit for office. Last year I was visiting Montreal a few days before the election and Canadian anxiety was high as was mine. Everything I and others have predicted is our new reality. And there's no bottom - it gets worse every day. Since election night to this day I am ashamed to be an American. Unfortunately, this is who we are at this moment. Not all of us. Not the majority of us. But the plurality of us and enough to win the presidency. The United States will never be the same and that's on us. Regrettably the rest of the world will suffer as well.

I met some great people while working in the US in the past and I feel sorry for them right now.

When you have thousands of libtards inciting actual violence that’s hateful. When you have thousands of people inciting violence that’s hateful. When you have thousand of libtards cheering the death of someone that’s hateful. But god forbid you don’t like that and state that you don’t you’re hateful. Make it make sense hahaha

I don’t get how someone saying they don’t like their opponent is wrong lmao. Like I’m supposed to like or feel sorry for bad people. No.
