Hi,
It would be great if you could come up with your own name, while thinking of all these answers you will be dilvuging to the oh so impatient people of Montreal! I agree that imitation is a great form of flattery, but I think the effort Alexandra and I have been putting in our businesses for 10 years now should be respected. We are Montreal Girlfriends, we are pionneers in the Montreal Girlfriend Experience and have worked hard for our reputation.

I have to agree with Lola. When i first noticed Chloe's Playground/Candyshop name change to MTLGFE, I considered it a cheap imitation & a LOW BLOW towards Mtl Girlfriends (MTLGF) who have been in this business for as long as i can remember, and then an agency that has been around only for a few years comes around & to score some cheap points, adopts an agency name nearly identical to one that has been around for as long as MTL GF has.
What's next? Changing your name to Exxtase? Helleganza? Asses4Uvissante?
Well, I've got to defend Billy here. First, off Lola, Alexandra and the guys behind them are using two words with a space between them. Billy is using an abbreviation and an acronym with no space between them. To Montreal and MTL, no one can lay claim; I would think this beyond dispute. Girlfriend refers to a person; GFE refers to an experience. The acronym GFE is certainly generic and no one agency or individual and possibly lay claim to it. Frankly, I don't see how one could confuse Montreal Girlfriends with MTLGFE.
In addition, considering that Montreal Girlfriend's rates are double those of MTLGFE, I would hardly think that they are even marketing to the same clientele. This is all much ado about nothing.
On the other hand, why he'd want to take the name of an agency widely considered to be the best in town and change it's name is beyond me. The woman with whom he was at one time affiliated is quite likely not named Chloe and that name has been widely used in the industry.

That one was already used in the past. The owner's name was David and he was the first hobbyist/agency owner that i ever met in person.
Look, i'm not only pointing the finger at Billy, whom i actually like. I could point the finger to other agencies who picked similar-sounding names, such as MTL Angels & Angel Escorts, for example. I'm not sure who picked the name first, but it's pretty damn confusing at times! In the past, we also had Mtl Hot Girls and Hot Girls Montreal, etc. I mean....stop this nonsense of picking names way too similar which appears like you're only trying to screw one another!
I always thought that Candy Shop was a great name for an agency. My opinion. I never associated MTLGFE with Montreal Girlfriend, and see nothing wrong with it as long as it never violated a copyright law. I don't know anything about copyright laws in the US, much less Canada. There always will be similar sounding and similar looking names to businesses that offer the same "product".

All I can say is since Chloe's Playground/ Candyshop has changed names, I stopped looking/ booking at their girls, probably because it simply became harder to find (issue of links as mentionned, even if they are fixed now) and also because of the confusion with Mtl Girlfriend... no matter if one is 2 separated word and the other is an acronym, as I am scanning the "Escort Agencies" part of the forum. It had nothing to do with Mike+Billy on a personal level. It was just a bad business move I thought, one that made my life harder when looking to meet a girl...

I haven't seen a lot of their girls recently. That is just because they didn't catch my fancy. I don't see how the new website is so problematic that it would discourage bookings. Check the Merb advertisements daily and there are no problems at all.

I just checked the mtlgfe.com website and it looks pretty good to me, with the exception of the schedule section which needs to be updated.
I am pleasantly surprised at the large number of girls in the lineup, and the roster is up-to-date. It looks to me they have a large selection and variety at $160 which is the lowest price around for any reputable agencies that I am aware of.

True, but Billy seems to be doing a better job of getting the weekly schedule into his merb advertising. It was up by 8:00 am Monday this week.

I guess the escorts business is something that goes this way. Remember Billy had Angel Escorts first when he separated from GOF/Devilish. He let it to Tony, started Candy Shop that used that name for a while on merb on par with Chloe's Playground but the website was not in use for very long. It was a bit weird to see add by Candy Shop and clicking only to get on an outdated website with girls that no longer work there.
Then Chloe left the Playground and they kept the name... sounded a bit weird for people like us that knows who Chloe is, but again its not like there is only one Chloe in this business, they could either had hire another Chloe or name a female booker Chloe and thats it... Good points. Both Montreal Sex City and Satin Dreamz are definitely reputable agencies with a regular rate of $160. However, both of them don't normally have girls working on Sat and Sun these days, and MTLGFE usually does.
MTLGFE is strictly speaking a $180 agency, even though the usual specials on MERB are $160. You do have to remember to mention the MERB special when you book to get the $160 rate. Otherwise you would have to pay the regular rate of $180. I made that mistake more than once and paid $180.
