As I understand it, the purpose of this thread is to determine whether Viagra/Levitra/Cialis can cause some sort of dependance be it physical or psychological.
I have tried both Viagra and Levitra on an very irregular bases (three or four times per year). I stopped using Viagra because I felt it was too violent on my system. I really felt bad the next day after taking Viatra (upset stomach, nausea, tighness in the chest). I find that Levitra is less violent but I may eventually switch to Cialis. Yes, I can still have an erection (not always) without using these products but I use them as an insurance policy only in special circumstances. Each pill does cost about $15,00 each from legitimate sources. Therefore, there is somewhat a psychological dependance. The root of this dependance is the fear of failure at an inappropriate moment: for example, when you are paying x amount of dollars for female companionship. Why take a chance if you have previously had erectile dysfunction? Which is my situation.
For the physical aspect, I personnaly am not able to answer the question whether or not once you start using these products on a very regular bases (several times per week) you will be dependant on them in the future. In other words, whether you will be able to have any sort of erection without using the product. But, I feel the psychological dependance will increase with usage.
There seems to be two types of users: those who unfortunetaly need it now and then and those who do not need it at all (those who have never had an erectile dysfunction) but use it on a volontary bases.
For those who do not need these products but use them, Viagra/Levitra/Cialis is to sex what steriods are to some professionnal athletes. It enables cheating athletes to practice longer, harder, to increase their stamina and performance. I am not certain that a male in perfect health needs or obstain any increase in performance with these products. Only time will tell if these products are as dangerous to them as steriods are to athletes.
