counterfeit viagra scam?

Well, it looks like I just got taken in on a batch of counterfeit viagra. My supply was running low, so I carefully researched for an on-line Canadian pharmacy and found one that looked good in Toronto. I placed an order a few weeks ago, and it arrived today....but not from Toronto, it was shipped to me from Shanghai, China!!

I was a little suspicious of the packaging (inferior quality of printing on the outside package), and so back to the internet for more research...to find that counterfeit viagra is rampant!! (and has been so for several years, mostly from China). Guys, if the 'little blue pill' didn't help you much last time, it might have been fake! Some of the stuff I found out would make you gag, like a photo of a rusty cement mixer in Egypt being used to mix up a batch.

Anyway, I sent a polite email to the pharmacy saying that I was not satisfied with the product, and asking to return it for a refund (per their return policy on their website). Let's see what happens.... Edited M4

it sounds like you were expecting the real thing? i recently purchased generic from an on-line canadian pharmacy. it came to me from india? i am not sure of the quality.seems to be okey? and the price was right.

keep after them. i'll be interested to see who wins this one.

how to recognize counterfeit viagra websites

Some of the things I've learned by doing some online research:
1) there is NO SUCH THING as "generic" viagra, therefore any website offering "generic" viagra is not the genuine stuff...
2) there is NO SUCH THING as "viagra soft tabs", therefore any website offering "soft tabs" is not the genuine stuff.
3) any website offering the choice of "genuine Pfitzer viagra" and either or both of the alternatives listed above, is already dealing with counterfeit stuff, so how can you trust them?

I have decided to save my last whole genuine pill from the last batch, to visually compare with any new supply I get.

To explain how I fell for such a scam, I should mention that I live in the USA, and it is well-known here in the USA that the same USA-manufactured prescription drugs are sold in Canada at 30% to 40% below the USA prices. I know several local people who are buying their everyday prescriptions on-line from Canadian sources to save money. [Health care costs in the USA are rapidly getting out of control]. The website I found happens to offer lots of other prescription medicines, and their prices are about 30% to 40% less, so it sounded reasonable to me. However, they do violate my rule #3 above, so I would not trust them....for anything.

You have to know that there's NO copyright/patent on drugs in India... Any pharmaceutical company can produce generic of any drugs over there aslong they sell it to LOCAL.... for sure there's some breach in the system that's why you see some 'generic' viagra online.

There's some people from there that played big an that were importing meds from india to usa to ship them to consumer instead of shipping from india.

Authorities and american/canadian pharmaceutical company usually use the argument that pills might have been manufactured in unsafe conditions, might contain no active ingredients or can be dangerous for health. I did some research to find if there's any case of death from online pills... and havent find any (doesnt mean there's none) but I feel authorities would market it a lot if there's would be one... Anyway I wouldnt take drugs without prescription from my doctor...

What you wrote reminds me of a sports agents seminar I attended in the late 80's.

The guy was talking at some points about drugs and how to protect their clients from it.

He told them if you're going to take some drugs,

1)make sure you know and trust with your life who gives it to you.

2)Now make sure you can trust the guy who gives it to your guy, who will then give it to you.

Viagra does not work on the libido it does not brings desire and
attraction and good vibe, necessary for good sex has to already exist
in your relationship for viagra to help you.

What Viagra does is to bring more blood circulation to the genital area
and that helps with sexual arousal and erection
but you are right it does not brings desire.
Your relationship has to have that already!

I tried Viagra and loved it, next time i go to see my doctor i hope
