Just thought I would enquire on your thoughts on the matter.

It has happened to me more than once where I was asked it C/C payment was possible. Also it can be useful for when you want a date to go longer than originally budgeted for.

And if I were to accept C/Cs, what would you want to appear on the statement?

It's already been discussed on this Board that anyone who uses a credit card to pay for an escort's services is a total knucklehead no matter what appears on the credit card statement. No paper trails!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I put up this post because once again I was asked if I took C/Cs. If I did I am certain our date would have been prolonged. Not everybody has a partner to hide their hobbying from.

It's not just hiding something from a partner, ronnie. What happens when the credit card statements are subpoeaned in a civil case and the payor is asked to explain the charge? I have seen it happen in a case where sex toys and other sexual paraphrenalia were purchased by someone who had those purchases exposed for the whole world to see, in a case that had nothing to do with a spouse. Why on Earth would you put yourself in a position to have to explain in Court or in a deposition what you purchased and why? I suppose that there are some people who maybe enjoy being publicly embarassed, and if so go for it.

I am not trying to hurt your business Ronnie I am just stating the obvious to any right minded hobbyist that it is a horrible idea to pay for anything on a credit card that you wouldn't want to discuss later on in Court or at a deposition after your statements have been subpoenaed. For this reason I always bring extra cash and perhaps you can talk to them about ATMs etc. in lieu of credit cards.

I had an idea for you. Use "Station-service" or "Maintenance service". It is vague, but it had also double meaning. "Station-service" is correct french for "gas station", but if you search deeper...

ronnie dont listen to them

it is a great idea

some people would appreciate it if more agencies took cc, but there is a alot of fraud involved. if you need visa or mastercard merchant numbers pm me, that is the business i am in, i do merchant services.

p.s. not everyone has to hide this hobby and why not write it off if you can!

I declare my income and pay income tax as an entrepreneur. Though I can't remember if my accountant went with personal assistant or party planner... I still don't trust the government to declare my profession to them on paper. So what would be the problem of me having a paper trail?

Flowers!

I heard that in the 60s and 70s, execs. use to charge their hobbying on their credit cards and they were billed for flowers. I guess that it would all depend on how you registered you business.
I was also told by a girl at Jean Couteau that they no longer accept canadian tire - mastercards because the credit card company charges the regular 4 % fee and then Canadian Tires charges another 2.5 % fee to pay the bonus the client recieves for using the Canadian Tire brand - Mastercard. So you could be loosing anywhere from 4 % to 8 % depending on which card you accept. There might even be a monthly user and set up fee.

Ronnie ...

You can take credit cards through paypal. There is no paper trail ... absolutely no way to tell if it's for an SP or if someone just bought an air conditioner off you on eBay. :D

Have you read the question ?

Guys, Ronnie didn't ask if everyone of you were willing to pay your SP with a credit card nor did she say she won't take cash anymore. She simply asked to those willing to pay with C/C what would be preferable to see on their statement. So stop saying how risky and foolish it would be to pay your SP service with C/C.

Ronnie, I'd suppose nobody want to see on his statement a name that would suggest what kind of service he purchased. And an "anonymous" name (as 9876-5432 Quebec inc.) looks suspicious. For the gas station suggestion, very few cars can swallow 300 $ of gas.

"Ronnie's hardware" or "Ronnie's furniture store" seems to me quite innocent. And although I think it's always better to pay with cash, it might be very usefull at times for certain persons if we could use a C/C. I personnally carry little cash on me, always pay anything I buy with C/C.

Credit Card

The security of the use of thr credit card concerns me beacuse of idenity theft. But once you use one online or bank online that's a risk anyway.
I noticed in by bank they are flogging cards that you use for online purchases- lower limits. This would work to limit the size of any overcharge.
If you are going to play either let the wife know or have her play too. :)

Don't think pay pal is the way I would go because for last minute extensions I would need a computer and there is not always one handy...

Beware, it is probably against Paypal rules. They don't accept E-Bay mature audience (adult) transactions on their system. If you do, you need to be very discret.

Any other suggestions as to what you would be comfortable seeing on your statement, be it for interact or C/C?
