Yes, but who is not "safe and supported" in Montreal?
I'm not sure what you're asking or implying. Do you mean it as a rhetorical question, suggesting that all SPs in Montreal are safe and supported? Are you asking who in the business is not safe? Or are you asking me about how I evaluate situations, which is admittedly imperfect?
In the context of my post, the answer is: any woman who feels that she does not have the power to turn down an outcall if she's uncomfortable. I remember seeing one woman from a prominent agency in Montreal a while back, and she complained that the agency pressured her into going into some pretty sleazy hotels and questionable situations. She didn't report anything dangerous, and she could have quit the agency, but she certainly didn't feel supported even if she was largely safe. A broader answer might be: I'm sure that some of the BP girls are not in great situations. (This raises another dimension of the "whorearchy" discussion.)
Another direction we could take this thread--not a new direction out here--would be to ask whether clients have a responsibility to book rooms in upscale hotels in safe neighborhoods.
By the way, I'm not dictating ethics to anyone. These issues matter a lot to me, but I know that many have different views or may simply not care.
