As a rule, no. I always as an ulterior motive. I go to hobbyland when it coincides with business or another more reputable recreational activity. I will say that in the days of the parties I broke that rule and I flew in town for a few days just for the hobby.
If you were hunting you would prefer known territory. I say why go far when all you need is near.

Scandinavia (not great); Baltic's loved Riga not Tallin; Eastern Europe Czech, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia ok, Kiev Ukraine outstanding; Germany good; South America love Buenos Aires, Argentina, Chile not so much; Havana Cuba crazy, Jaimaca & Barbados pretty good, not Australia or in the US, Toronto & Vancouver can be difficult- distance traffic, Calgary surprisingly good Asian Micros in particular, MONTREAL best f......in place in the word. My two cents
Currently in Colombia. I've came here with a Lady from Mtl (from a reputable agency) and after she left I had no issue finding gems here. Lots of beautiful girls and the pricing is incredible. You can find blondes spinners to big booty black girls. Medellin is heaven for this hobby.

Here is what I've done in the past. Because I normally get cheap flights notifications on weekly basis, I came across once with cheap flight to Morocco, Casa Blanca from Air Canada. So I booked a trip for a long week-end down there and hotel is cheap on the boulevard de la Corniche, right by the ocean. Either the Thalasso or Hotel Azur. There are a few bars and pubs right by the hotel and party away for the week-end. Girls are either cheap or free ... lol !! Buy them drinks and you're the King for the night.

But with money you make friends with the reception guy and tip him good to let the girl in the room.

Then few days after I came back, another flight sale (or mistake fares) came up this time from Royal Air Maroc !! This that time, I booked a package hotel and flight to Marrakesh in a Riad hotel for 4 days via Expedia ! This time around I contacted one of the girl from previous trip to meet me in Marrakesh for a long week-end !
Both trips were great but you need time and no commitment for instant decisions. I found this interesting and better than overnights with SP's here, and also much cheaper too !
Now, I have my eyes on Ukraine, Odessa. That story to follow !!

Good point and of course you have to factor in all the costs...but you have to think of the big picture. Many MERBites are business travelers and they take advantage of having their flight and more paid for. Vacationers love the culture, the cuisine, the sights of places that they visit. Many Latin America travelers are trying to escape the winter weather. So yes, In many of my ISG reviews you will see that I factor in total costs. Cab Fare, drink tab, room fee, bar fine, food etc. If you travel just for the hobby bargain and you are from Montreal, than you probably are better off staying home but if you business travel or you want a vacation to a warm climate or go to an exotic location.
Having said all this, the best deal going that I know of is the Clinica scene in Sao Paulo where 3-sums with hot women with good service costs about $80USD.
Yes, quite a bit, mostly through Latin America and Asia (various locations). It is definitely cheaper, you can usually find more and better looking girls, you get more mileage and usually better attitudes. The difference of course is the cost to travel. If you can piggy back off of work trips then it becomes much cheaper, naturally, but even if you can't the difference in session cost more than offsets the travel cost. You naturally session much more when hobby traveling and of course there's the vacation aspect of it. The problem is that you can't be hobby traveling all the time and ultimately you end up trying to do enough at home to tide you over until you travel again, so most travelers end up doing both. Montreal is likely the best of the North American destinations but honestly it pales in comparison to what's available abroad and honestly I just make the best of it and enjoy it for what it is, always with a slight sense of disappointment no matter how good the hour long session I have here might be, because that same session would be several hours long or all night for far less than what you would pay here, and generally more intimate. That's not taking away from the girls here, since you can have some great sessions with some wonderful providers, but it's really an apples and oranges scenario. There's truly no comparison whatsoever.
As most of you have said, only when piggy back on regular travel. Customs and rules are very different across the world, so I would rather "hunt" in the familiar territory. If the cost is significantly higher, then much research is needed, otherwise the chance of varied mileage may occurs. So, why bother when Montreal offer some of the world's best?
Montreal doesn't offer anything even closely resembling the world's best, just North America's best. With that being said, Montrealers should feel fortunate that they have access to what they do, because Montreal is still head and shoulders above just about every other North American destination. That's not nothing, but by no stretch does Montreal compare to many international spots.
I have to totally disagree with urquell's statement. I've been to 15-20 countries, in Europe and extensively in Central and South America. When it comes down to the action, Montreal has one of the best selections of young attractive women with good odds for kissing and great odds for BBBJ. Especially good for Caucasian women. Montreal also has a uniquely wide spectrum of massage options, of course the legit and hardcore ends but also a vast multitude of offerings in between. As a massage guy I not only appreciate this but am somewhat stumped to ID another city with such a wide spectrum. It may just be lack of awareness, but I've looked. You're free to disagree of course, and many will. It may just be a matter of comfort and familiarity for some. I'm not suggesting that this is true in your case. You mention Medellin for example, and there's a great variety of MPs in Medellin, from low to high end, and in several there's not only no clock watching, there's no clock. The Philippines and Thailand have absolutely outstanding massage options ranging from straight foot massages to regular massages, to deep tissue and sex massages to soapies, and some of those simply aren't available here at all. They are cheaper and less clinical too. The one really great benefit that you get in Montreal is that you get a taste of just about every culture and race, so there's a huge variety of looks to cater to everyone, which may not be available in other areas. Still, one should not confuse transplants in Montreal as being the same here as they would be in their home country. Cuban girls might be an exception to that. They seem to take their cuban-ness everywhere. lol.
Of course, all of that doesn't even touch on the great ground zero options in some countries, great, safe centralized sex districts, true working girl bars where you drink and schmooze with indies before taking anyone out, social media networks (using Medellin again has a wonderfully well developed Facebook community for SPs) and strip joints (although I don't care for them) that offer complete on site facilities for recreation. Montreal doesn't offer ANY of those things.
