Eleganza Cancellation , Devilish saves the day again

Every so often I like to treat myself to a wonderful evening and I take great pains at planning my evening.

My main date was booked a week earlier with an indy of the utmost class. But being the pig that I am I decided I should have a second date later that evening. I called Elegenza which we all know is probably in the top 3 agencies in Montreal. I booked at 2PM and reconfirmed at 6PM for an 11:30 date. Boy was I excited about the lady I booked, tall, slim, beautiful lady with great reviews. Finally the clock strikes 11:30 but no knock. I assume this is the normal 20-30 minutes delay that we're all accustomed to. 12AM and still nothing. I decide to give another 20 minutes and then I call. The operator answers and basically says "oh yeah she decided not to come and I had a problem reaching you at the hotel, they wouldn't transfer me". I guess not only do you stiff me but you take me for an idiot. Oh and the fact that you had my Cell phone was lost on you...wait let me guess the cell tower I was using was blocking you also. They never called to advise me, never offered to make it up or anything of the sorts. Elegenza, this is one client that thinks your great reputation is not deserved! The shame of it all is that you didn't even man up and apologize for screwing up.

Thank god for Devilish! Every time I get stiffed by another agency I call Devilish and they always come through. Devilish, your customer service is second to none.

I find this somewhat interesting.... This may just be coincidence but it is not the first time that when John Eleganza goes away a complain about Eleganza would pop up on this board. May be knowing that he won't be able to respond right away? And the complain against Eleganza is buried under praises for Devilish. Something just does not smell right.

Coincidence this time? May be, but John E mentioned in the Eleganza member board yesterday that he won't be responding to emails for a few days, probably he is going away on vacation or something.

I have my shares of problems with both Eleganza and Devilish and I would take them directly to these agencies, and sometimes they are resolved to my satisfaction, and sometimes they are not. In terms of customer service, it is arguable which one is worse, or better.

From my personal experience I have many successful advance bookings with Eleganza, but I would not even bother to try with Devilish. I am staying away from Devilish for now- my recent success rate with them is 25%. Only one of the 4 recent dates I have with Devilish ladies was satisfactory. I missed the good old days when Kiki, Jen and Jenna were around in the agency, and I have heard that from other hobbyists also. I have nothing against Devilish and sure hope that Devilish has not seen its best days and can bounce back.

I guess we each have our stories, I've just been lucky with Devilish. At the end of the day it's just common courtesy to call a person and tell them that you can't keep the appointment.

For me it's Devilish, for someone else it will be a different agency. All this to say that I don't mind getting burned once but I won't give you a chance to burn me a second time

I am not crying wolf here, I just also think it is a but funny. Is it a possibility that when John is away, service truly suffers? This is a valid hypothesis, but it is good for any agency. I agree with Rex:

We all have had at one time or another not as good customer service from one agency or another. Agency 1 is known for running very late, Agency 2 does not call back, Agency 3 does not take advanced bookings, Agency 4 seems to service regular customers better than occasional ones...

This could be annoying to some but it makes good business sense.

I have been a regular of a particular agency (look at most of my post to find out which one) and along with being a customer that most SP appreciate a lot, it has served me well in the past

It is good you changed the title on this thread from what I remember as Devilish Saves the Day Again. Cancellatioins are frustrating, especially last minute or no notification, and I have my shares of that as well from different agencies including HDH agencies.

I make it a habit these days to call if my date don't show up 15 minutes after the appointment time. There are so many things that can go wrong. She could be given the wrong room number. She could be sent to the wrong hotel. Did you know that there are two Delta Hotels and two Marriott Hotels in Montreal?

Don't know. Maybe they lost the cell number? Maybe they just make a mistake? Assuming that things did happen as described above.

I'm not sure of the events of this post but I think that a lot of agencies don't notify customers of changes or callback/contact customers.

I've experienced this type of thing (different variations) with XXXTase, Eleganza, and the old Celine's Fantasies. Since none of these experiences was a no show where the SP didn't show up and there is no notification from the agency, this has not made me not book with them but has made me change my tactics when booking with agencies/indies.

I agree with John (Eleganza) that you waiting about 1 hour to call seems a bit excessive. For an agency as well as an indie, I will normally call when I check into my hotel (with the room number, etc.) and if the SP is late I will call again after waiting around 10 minutes to see if there are any issues. The time that I saw Leah, when I checked into my hotelroom and called Eleganza, I was actually asked (I'm assuming by John) if it was okay if Leah showed up about 5 minutes early.

John mentioned the truth that some hotels won't transfer calls without the complete name of the guest. You mentioned that you left your cellphone number so I'm not sure what happened there.

My date with Karyna was Wed the 14th of this month.

I didn`t make any posts about it until today because I am not the complaining type.

Only after I had read all the reviews of Karyna over and over again, I made the post as written.

Just to be clear myself, Bubba, I never wanted to insinuate that you were making a false statement, or trying to get something out of this post. I just thought strange 2 posts came out at similar times and actually to me it was a time link to a possible John absence from agency controls! But your info here actually invalids my supposition!

Just to set the record straight

Look I'm not bashing any agency, I'm not affiliated to any agency and I get shit happens. I was just saying that this seems to happen more often then not and for me Devilish just seems to always come through at the last minute.

John, you seem like a good guy and seem to care about your clients but in my case you guys dropped the ball. As a client I choose which agencies I'll deal with, my choice and I choose not to deal with you anymore. No big loss for you and I doubt you'll lose sleep over it and nobody really gives a damn. I just felt like venting.

And for the record:

3PM made appointment gave Name, Hotel + CELL #
6PM confirmed appointment (called with cell from hotel room so I got reception)
50 Minutes after appointment time called again and was told..oh she's not coming and we couldn't call your room so too bad. Yeah I should have probably called a bit earlier but given Elegenza great reputation I gave them the benefit of the doubt. My bad.


What pissed me off was the oh too bad bye bye attitude I got. Anyway 5 minutes later I called devilish and 20 minutes later a fine lady showed up at my door.

I have stayed in approximately 20 different downtown Montreal hotels over the last 10 years. I have never given my last name to an agency, and have never had a problem receiving a call to my room as long as they had the right room number.

I generally wait about a half hour past appointment time before calling the agency to check on the status of the appointment. This saved the day once when the agency wrote down the wrong room number. The girl (who I knew from a past appointment) was waiting in the lobby for her ride, but I was able to get her before she left. That being said, I see no problem calling 10 minutes after the appointed time....it can't hurt.

I haven't stayed in as many Montreal hotels as you but I've had 2 cases where the SP not knowing my real name or my last name (depending on the circumstances) caused some minor issues.

Once was when a SP called me at the hotel to verify that I was there and the reception would not transfer the call because it was somewhat late (11:00pm) and the lady did not know my complete name only my room number. The SP then called me back on my cellphone and asked me to try to straighten it out.

The other time was more recently when I saw a SP and the SP wasn't allowed to go directly to the elevator without providing her name and the complete name of the guest that she wanted to visit/see. I'm not sure why this happened since I've seen numerous SPs at the same hotel and never had any issues and the SP in question was also not wearing anything out of the ordinary. In any event, because she didn't have my complete name and the name that she did have might not have been my real name, the reception called me at my room and asked me if I was expecting a "Miss YYYYYYY".

However, this doesn't happen often. I mean, I've seen quite a few SPs and I've only experienced problems involving the SP not knowing my real/fullname twice.
