Encouragement to post reviews

I had not visited this board for about 3-4 of years till a few wks. ago and what has struck me is the steep diminution in the reviews of the the girls. Sure there are posts in different categories chatting about this and that and that's fine...I have no problem with people talking about hockey and whatever...I like hockey...used to play it a lot.
However, it seems to me the primary purpose of this board is for hobbyists to write/read reviews so as not to be led around by the nose by all the rip-off agencies out there. These days on MERB it seems you're lucky to see 2-3 new reviews/day whereas before it was way more. So I just want to encourage everyone to post, I will do my best and have rebegun to post reviews.

What I'm trying to say is that at any one time, day or night, there's always 10-15 guys minimum on this site so there are definitely a lot of girls being seen by guys who know MERB. So come on all of you who benefit from this site but never or rarely post... don't just leech on posters here...contribute to the activity of reviewing ...it won't happen unless you sit down and do it. Older posters too, come on, you're posting about this and that but I'm not seeing you concretely reviewing too much anymore...it seems that way to me anyway. Let's get this board lit up with reviews. If nobody wants to review anymore that's fine with me but I,d just like to know what's going on. I live here in Mtl. and know my way around and can see a large volume of girls once I start but if people don't post I won't post either that's fine by me I know the reliable agencies out and can get by.

Bon point. Completly agree with you. Could b millions of reasons not to post....BUT could b also a fun adventure to share a nice encounter and make members BENEFIT from it. Only few words or some lines could b very helpful to avoid or to recommand. We r more than 70,000 members here and i got the impression that very often we read always the reviews of a minority.....it's nice...but we need more. So come on board and b helpful.
I know my English is not that good----that's why am doing my reviews mainly in french-----but the important for me it's to deliver a message....and thanks to all for your comprehension and kindness . No...but in a serious note...I do agree for MYSELF for exemple i dont post anymore ...Cause yes work and life etc...Mais Surtout because i did find the one who does complete me to time to time and she live not far from me...So lucky me :thumb: Also another point....If and when i go to the city...I do see some sometimes...But i prefer not to post cause the ladyz doesnt need more review in some case...So why bother telling the same story like all does...

I think everyone should review for all their favorites if they don't have multiple pages. This is how I predetermine good SPs

I believe everyone should review all their bad/medium encounters if justified.

The only reason you shouldn't post is repeating what was already said many times. Or not allowed

Maybe a rule of thumb, if a review helped you make a decision, you owe a review. We should get merb rankings like other forums based on # of posts. Posts can be set to measure only review posts.

I like how people are here complaining about lack of reviews, but most are nowhere to be seen when people harass the people who actually do review.

I've seen, new reviewers get blasted as shills for posting a positive review of a lesser known girl.

I've seen, less known reviewers (but not total newbies) get blasted when they share a less than favorable encounter with someone else's favorite. I've actually had a few nasty PMs myself for posting a not 100% review (like 90%) of a popular girl in the past.

I've seen, some escorts be extremely critical of reviewers and fire back at a negative review with a total lack of discretion providing personal details on said reviewer. Thankfully the mods are pretty quick here.

I've seen, popular reviewers take discounts and freebies without mentioning it in their reviews and be celebrated... until they are found out (and no, not just one).

Etc...

Except for that last example, people are just happy to sit and let it happen, it's not very encouraging for new or lesser known users. If you want more reviews, it means you need more reviewers and for that the community needs to breed an atmosphere where reviews are encouraged, regardless of whether the review is positive or negative. Now this means some of you will need to put your white armor away and let something you might not like to read go (I'm talking about what would be an honest review here, not what could objectively be called an attack).

Thanks for starting this thread.

I encourage people who never posted reviews, newbies, lurkers to at least try.
Also, try to have some hard skin and don't give up after the first critics from your peers (White Knights).

Getting Critics of reviews are normal cause Reviews can also be a weapon to let out some level of frustration and also cause they can be enhanced to get some rebates/freebies...
Sometime people may critic your legit review and You should then defend your points should you need to.

The experience of reviewing is usually great and flawless if you do it with a minimum of respect to the girls and others no matter if the review is positive or not.

The more reviews the better. No matter if she has 20 pages. You can say that you had a similar experience as others not to repeat what has been said multiple time but it is still good if you express your satisfaction (or not satisfaction).

All reviewers have different tastes and that is why many different reviewers and point of views are needed.
There are some here that review positively girls that I would not see because they are less picky on the physical aspect as I am.
However, there are others I've found out to have similar tastes as me and their reviews always play big in my decisions.


I believe this topic (Review or Not to Review) has been debated multiple time already...

Good points which I hope will be considered by all concerned on both sides. I'm glad this thread has allowed you to voice out loud the opinions of others who I hope will try to consider contributing a little more. We all stand to benefit. Otherwise, you know, a couple new posts in the escorts review section for a 24-48 hr period...it just makes MERB a little boring...IMHO.

That being said, I don't want to burst anybody bubble but this board is mainly about two things:

1. A business which is about making money
2. A hobby which is to make one fantasy come true (or almost :smile

About the 1st point I believe that this board serves well the actors of this industry, giving them some room for publicity (fantasy for our eyes) and reviews which is essential because they can't go on hw bilboard! Reviews a very important simply because a lot of people read them. But doing so, hobbyist have to be able to read between the line since the matter is highly subjective and is not disinterested. Some won't post because of that, or because it has already being said: it would only ad a drop to the ocean of words. The last expression is not sarcastic, some of you guys are amazing writters :thumb:.

Finally, the 2nd issue. Fantasy and specifically the sexual one is a a powerfull drive that is sometimes difficult to control :nod:. Some people are better than other at sharing it or simply are more private and don't need to show their 'hunting trophy to the world . Actually, diversity is the spice of life and is fun. This board is sometime like going to a movie and enjoying the show. Again, hobbyist have to be able to read between the line!

In my case, I mostly see des valeurs sûres that I choose carefully. I don't have a high paying job so I choose not to go hunting for la perle rare (with cheapest rates?) on websites like kijiji, ann123, CL or Mtl BP. Unless she has some good reviews here. Otherwise, it's like playing la roulette russe which I can't afford.

So my input on some well known SP would only make me a perroquet repeating what anyone else is saying.

I also don't do it out of respect for the SP if it happens that her services are not up to her reputation. She's not a fuck machine. She's human. There's also chemistry and YMMV to take into account.

I will say something only if I was given a bad service by an SP that doesn't care about her client or that something weird has come up during the encounter.

But it would still only be an opinion. My opinion.

I for one am guilty as charged. In ten sessions I might post one review. No real reason, just don't get around to it.

So for 2016 I will try an increase my percentage of posts.
In ten sessions post 5 reviews is my goal.
