A quelques heures de l'ouverture du tournoi de la Banque Nationale à Québec Bouchard----maintenant 76 ème---a fait faux bond prétextant un nébuleux virus......au grand dam des organisateurs qui misaient beaucoup sur sa présence.....autre triste évènement. Les amateurs pourront alors se tourner vers Francoise Abanda...espérons qu'elle saura nous surprendre et faire oublier l'absence d'Eugénie. Rappelons que ce tournoi est un tournoi mineur MAIS qu'il peut permettre à une joueuse de bien démarrer sa carrière OU DE LA RELANCER.

D'ailleurs hier j'écoutais son avocat à TSN expliquer qu'il allait bientôt procéder devant les tribunaux dans la cause de Bouchard vs l'USTA----Association américaine de tennis---suite à la commotion subie le 04-09-2016 après une chute dans une salle de physio lors du dernier US OPEN. Aucune médiation ne semble possible.
Je dois avouer que cette entrevue a soulevé en moi de sérieuses interrogations.....Son avocat allègue que c'est suite à cette commotion que Bouchard----mentalement et emotionnellement ébranlée----n'a pu bien performer depuis 1 an et a du se retirer de plusieurs tournois.....Il dit même que Bouchard a éprouvé une psychose devant se présenter à nouveau cette année au US OPEN....et que cela explique encore sa sortie rapide...je veux bien.
Je n'ose croire que tout cela ne correspondrait pas à un plan machiavélique bien songé pour servir à bâtir une preuve devant les tribunaux....mais connaissant bien les avocats.....who knows.... il n'y aurait rien de bien surprenant. Et si c'était le cas alors nous aurions été victimes d'une grottesque supercherie.....
Mais je veux bien leur laisser le bénéfice du doute.

I do believe that she has used up her 15 minutes of famesad to see someone who has so much talent sink to the level she has.
It happens all the time. More often than not. But in Bouchard's case, she's lucky she plays women's tennis instead of men's tennis. The women's game is in such shambles and disarray right now that it'll be fairly easier for her to get her tennis standing back once she figures out what's ailing her in order to get her game back. She's still young enough to do so and will realize that this funk has happened to hundreds if not thousands of other tennis players and athletes. Many have never got their game back, but many have also learned to overcome their difficulties.
Elle a glissé en date d'aujourd'hui au 87ème rang.....avait débuté l'année au 46ème rang.....elle a déclaré forfait pour Séoul la semaine prochaine et fort probablement pour la tournée Asiatique......espérons que cette pause lui sera salutaire.....MAIS la route risque d'être longue et pénible si elle veut remonter à la surface.

Sloane Stephens was ranked #934 before she won the US Open, so ranking means shit. BTW Sloane Stephen is on the cover of Sports Illustrated this week, and the focus of an article that sheds interesting light about her relationship with her father which did not start until she was 13 years old only to lose him at age 16. She did not find out her father was a convicted rapist until she Google searched him on the Internet. I wonder how she took that news?
However, Eugenie is lacking in the two areas where Sloane Stephens reigns supreme: athleticism and fitness level. Sloane used both to defeat her opponents in the US Open. In those 3 set matches she was very fresh at the end. She was only a couple of shots better than Venus though, and Venus could have won that tournament with slightly better luck on some of the key points, although not to take anything away from Sloane because she was great at the end of that match.
Sorry but ranking is not shit....what Sloane did is EXCEPTIONAL..she did successivement demis in Toronto, Cincinnati and won the US OPEN,,,wow....EXCEPTIONAL I SAID....she is now 17th...am very proud for her. If Bouchard goes over 100 in the ranking...that means that she will have to go through QUALIFICATIONS for every MASTER and MAJOR.....never an easy task....perhaps she could receive a free pass-invitation for Montréal or Toronto....don't see any other organisation offering that.....she is not yet Sharapova.

She needs to fall out of the top 100......sometimes a splash of cold water in the face wakes your ass up. Something needs to shake her up as she is in a downward spiral in ranking and in results. She hasn't gotten the most out of her talent and her desire to excel can properly be questioned.
Or her father has to cut her off from her inheritance. Facing the fact she may not inherit millions when he passes away may bring back her hunger to win & get her head out of her ass and start playing tennis like she can.

I am not inexperienced at handling Probate Court litigation ensuing after wills have been altered, and I must say that I have never seen anyone cut out of a will because their tennis game was sucking monkey balls. The usual reasons are:
- estrangement from the family or the decedent;
- neglecting the decedent while another person was not during the decedent' waning months or years; the person who took care of the decedent then is substituted as a beneficiary of the Estate;
- siding with the decedent's ex-wife during a divorce, or creating that perception in the eyes of the decedent;
- failing to obey the decedent's wishes that were expressed to the cut out beneficiary during the decedent's lifetime; decedent then makes change in his or her waning weeks or months;
- arbitrary reasons including substituting a manipulating child at the expense of the child's sibling, with the disinherited sibling then getting "duressed" out of their share of the Estate due to the machinations of the scheming sibling.
I have litigated all of these scenarios. Never did see "your out of the will because your tennis game has gone south."

According to Tennis.Life’s Stephanie Myles, Bouchard’s coach, Thomas Hogstedt, has parted ways the 23-year-old Montreal native and has already signed with another player.

Qu'est-ce qu'elle as a gagné de ce procès. Un employé as mal fait sa job et fermé les lumières trop vite.. Elle est déja millionaire. Elle est pogné avec un entourage qui avec l'aide d'avocat américain veulent aller chercher le max de fric sur son dos. Perso elle as tout à perdre de poursuivre et ca doit pas être cool à vivre..

Tout à fait d'accord....et s'en prendre à l'Association américaine de Tennis-USTA---bonne chance. J'ai lu quelque part que la poursuite était de l'ordre d'un peu plus de 150.000 US ....des peanuts dans ce milieu et pour tout le stress qu'elle doit vivre....ET UNE FOIS SES AVOCATS PAYÉS COMBIEN LUI RESTERA-T-IL..et

Gaby ca ressemble beaucoup à des cas fréquent aux USA ou les avocats signe un pacte ou ca coute pas un sous si ils gagnent pas. Mais si les avocats gagnent la cause contre USTA effectivement ils ramassent le mottons. Je peux pas croire qu'elle est laissé ca allé.

Comme tu disais...bien mal entourée. J'ai l'impression que ses parents---seuls vrais conseillers---poussent très fort. L'USTA a refusé à ce jour toute MÉDIATION...veulent aller jusqu'au bout...comme s'ils ont un compte à régler avec elle. Ce procès risque de durer des mois voire même des années...et pendant ce temps la petite risque de s'écrouler goûte à goûte...bien malheureux tout ca.........serait beaucoup mieux de retirer sa poursuite....passer à autre chose.....comme au tennis.....ou fonder une famille....lol.
She's lost in the 1st roujnd something like 13 out of the last 15 matches she's played in.
I'll no longer follow her career. I gave up. I'll still follow her on twitter and hope she turns her game around. But no longer will watch her matches or care.
On a more positive note, Milos Raonic played his first match since undergoing wrist surgery and won his first match and looked very good from all accounts. So go Milos, go Shapo!!!
