My boys let me down today. Croatia played a great game today.
I don't understand why Low insists on playing Gomez. he should
have played Podolski up front with Schweinsteiger on the right side.

Now Poland should win over Austria so the last games mean something.
Croatia will want to at least tie so they don't play Portugal in the next round.
Germany is in a must win, Austria can play spoiler.

Regarding about the Qualifying. I meant getting to the dance has very minimal effect. Yes, you are on a high, getting your team geling but the calibre of your opponents increases tremendously (except Switzerland and Austrai, hosts)

Italy, well, even if you considered the first goal offside, they still put 2 goals after the fact. I took full advantage over my Italian fans who said they will eat the Dutch for breafast. Yes, Holland are always over rated on paper but Italy is still getting over Canavaro's loss. Materazzi and Panucci were overmatched. Buffon is not used to having players swarm over the place.

Let's see what happens tomorrow. France has to win, Italy has to win or else the party is over.

France was unlucky today

They had many many chances in the 1st half and they couldnt

capitalize.Ribbery was a 1 man machine, all over the place.

What a player.

When they were down 1-0 and got a hand ball in the box that

should have been a penalty that they didnt call the game totally

changed. I dont like that rule but a rule is a rule.

Then the danes just exploded!!!

Just a quick comment.

Mutu could have sunk the Italians yesterday. Where are the Italian strikers?
Buffon shows he is the top goalie of the world.
Toni had a point regarding the refereeing but that's always the case.
France-Italy, final showdown unless Romania beats Holland.

With France, yes, they should have got that handball call but the Dutch are too quick on the counter attack and parts of the spine of France (Makele, Thuram, Sagnol, Viera (MIA) ) is getting old. Robben, Snejder, Van de Vaart, Kuyt, Van Persie too fast too, great passing. Shocked Van Nistleroy didn't score. Will they take a rest against Romania?

Spain-Sweden will be good. Greece, well, let's see if Rehhagel keeps his attacking plans up. It's hard to do with 5 men at the back. Russia though has not many attacking options.

Have a great day watching the matches.
Tomorrow begins the final stage

The Euro Cup is without a doubt the hardest Championship to repeat. Its never been done ! The Greeks simply did not compete this year. Very much like France and Italy. The Italian squad is virtually out of the tourney. The Germans are not impressive at all. However Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands have been nothing short but impressive ! Look out for any of these 3 Clubs to go all the way and take the Cup ! Nadya @ www.SexyNadyaVips.com Kisses xxxXXXxxx

Very odd results this weekend

Spain barely got past sweden, once the swedes tied the game

they went on the defensive and were settling for the tie instead

of trying to win and losing in the process.

Greece played better vs the russians than they did the swedes

but it was not enough to win. That loss falls mainly on the goalie

george clooney (nikopolidis) wandering out of his zone to chase

the ball which he didnt even come close to thus giving up the

lone goal in the game. The majority of the greek team needs to

be changed, get rid of the older players for young fresh legs.

Wow poor Chechs, they gave up a 2 goal lead with the best

goalie in the world and lost the game 3 - 2 to the Turkies. Once

Chechs hit the post when the game was 2-1 it all went downhill

from there. Baros should have been subbed in for Koller at some

point of the second half. Turks goalie got a red card and will be

suspended for the next game.

Since my team is out I am now rooting for holland to go all the

way.

Lets go Oranje!!!

amazing game!!!!!

I watched the game between the tchecs and the turks...what a comeback!!!the second half was really intense and I was impressed by the way the turks played...to score three goals in one half...the odds are again you and they scored three goals in less than 30 minutes!!!About my team, the Oranje(my sentimental team, my real team) I hope they will go to the finals, I wish they don't break like all the others important tournaments they played, they have the chemistry...so keep it the same team play and you got chance to reach the big final...I'm with you Master_bates I hope the Oranje will win!!! I made a bet that Germany will win, I think they are still a good choice but I hope I did a wrong choice instead of Netherland...I don't care to loose my bet!

I congratulate Turkey for showing it's not over til it's over.
When Cech let in that goal he knew the end was coming.
But Volkon really didn't help his team in the Quarter Finals, they will be playing Croatia.

Portugal had a well deserved break playing it's fringe players. Happy to see Switzerland get a win with all their bad breaks (loss of Frei, at least a tie against Czech).

All of Germany is scared now. Sad to see them to be that way against their cousins Austria. Podolski is hurt and Schweinsteiger is suspended for hot headedness again. They will overcome and setup a match against Portugal.

Croatia-Poland. If Germany slips up, Poland has a chance if they win over a rested Croatian side.

Tomorrow's matches will be great. Taking the afternoon off to catch France-Italy. Let's see if Holland takes the foot off the brake and let Romania steal a berth in the Quarter Finals.

Have a good and enjoy the matches today.

The "beautiful game" takes a whole new meaning. :D

Soccer-Euro-Austrian women streak to victory in topless match

by Karin Strohecker

VIENNA, June 15 (Reuters) - Whether it has any bearing on Monday's crunch Euro 2008 match between the two countries is debatable but Austria drew first blood on Sunday when their topless women's soccer team beat Germany 10-5.

The traditional swapping of shirts afterwards was not an option as the six-a-side teams wore nothing but thongs, with the national colours painted on to their bare skin.

The football may not have been of the highest quality but that did not temper the enthusiasm of a mostly male crowd boosted by a sizeable media presence only too happy to desert Euro 2008 training for an hour or two.

The match was organised by a chat room website.

Austria were delighted with a victory they hoped would be a morale-booster for their male counterparts but was not without its serious side.

"I hope our men will take heart from that tomorrow. We played pretty hard, we even had some injuries, like I for example broke my toe nail," 29-year-old bank employee Doris Fastenmeir told Reuters.

The Germans took defeat sportingly and joined their opponents for alcopops and dancing at a beach club alongside the Danube.

"I was supposed to hold the balls but I really have no idea how to do that," said German keeper Jana Bach.

"Maybe it is because I am not all that much into soccer. I am more into shoes to be honest."

The verdict of the onlookers?

"They might have to work on their technique a bit but it was definitely a rather pleasant game to watch and a very nice version of the 'beautiful game'," said Rolf Hansen from Berlin.

Dam,

Italy-FRance on Tuesday and it really does not matter who wins, for I fear that Holland will lose its match on Tuesday..

I must say that the Turks showed up with a different team in the second half....

Thats the game fight till the end.

I fear that Forza Italia will soon become Farce Italien..

But it should prove to be a very good match

Showdown

Well, Herr Ballack wins it for Germany with an amazing free kick.
Sets up the showdown with Portugual.

Croatia finishes on top with 3 wins and faces a Turkey team without their thier top goalie.

Will Holland sort out the mess and let Romania walk into 2nd place making the France-Italy game meaningless. Either way both head coaches are gone and the youth movement begins. What surprises will we see at 2:45?

Spain-Holland in the semi-finals looks great. Dont' know if Germany will figure out how to shut down Portugal, it was meant to be the semi-final.

Enjoy, and ready with my France flag to run down St.Clair here in Toronto.
Wish me luck.

Have a good day and enjoy the matches.

The table is almost set

Well, Italy deserved the win yesterday. Losing Ribery was the first blow to the head. Abidal getting the red card, well, that finished the French off.
Spain will have an easier time with both Pirlo and Gattuso out of the picture.
Domenach will be fired shortly. Makele and Thuram retiring from the team. Not much left from the glory years. Henry tried to take it upon himself. At least we got to see some glimpses of Nasri and Benzema.

Today Spain will field their B squad against Greece. Greece is playing for pride which will make it a good affair. Sweden, Russia well, they are just figuring out who will Holland will eat for Breakfast. Romania and Mutu will always be left wondering what if, what if. Huntleler is the future of Holland striking. Van Basten must be smiling now, all these offensive talents and no sulking faces in the locker room.

Tomorrow is Portugual against Germany. The German coach has been banned for the game. Thank god for cellphones and text messaging.
Should be a good one.

Enjoy the games today and have a good day.

Russia will be first served to the Netherlands

Poor Greece couldnt even beat spain with 10 subs but at least

they scored.

The greek team needs a major overhaul

Germany who was once a favorite now an underdog faces

portugal tomorrow

Rooting for germany but think Portugal will take it and Nuno

Gomes has guarateed a goal in the game.

In other news, the turkish goalie got a 2 game suspension for his

actions in the last game.
