Not flooded, but being a very fervent enthusiast pic-nic afficionada, and in a hurry to feel the "real Spring" around,
I had my second pic-nic in one of my sweet private spot recently (that's on an little isle) and let me tell you that the water was almost equal to the road, and I had to have my pic-nic inside my vehicle, the area was too much soaking.
That's giving shivers and yes, you feel to be so very small and nothing compared to the forces of Nature.

It's real out there. Driving on hwy 40 to Quebec City seeing water on both sides of the highway makes it more serious than what would people sitting comfortable on their sofa at home think. I, for one am not far from danger, I just hope for the best. Nothing beats mother nature. No science can control such disasters .... .
Yes it can. But it takes many many years. It also takes intelligent people. Not stupid ass like Trump who believe climate change is an hoax from the chinese.

It is terrible. Ile Bizard and the small island adjacent Ile Mercier are complete flooded. More then half the homes might be lost. Pierrefonds is also flooded and Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue the water is coming very close. I went Friday night to pick up a girl up from Pierrefonds she told me she was stuck. She was at a house in Pierrefonds a street right at the island water border. When I tried to get to the house the street was flooded... The street disappeared into the water it looked almost ominous. I had to go from the other side to get to her. St-Jean Blvd near Pierrefonds Blvd is all flooded... There were ducks swimming in the middle of the street. This is very real folks.
That's horrible! The Dutch are great at taming water; they must be the best aqua engineers. But again massive flooding happens in many US states and European countries. But as more ice melts up at either poles of the Earth due to climate changes, flooding will become the norm and even the best Dutch aqua engineers and technologies will be overwhelmed by Mother Nature within our life time and our children's life time for certain. I hope the flood victims will receive financial assistance from the government or insurers.
So sorry for you Panthere! I live right smack in one of the areas and although I live on high ground and am not flooded I have witnessed this firsthand. I grew up in this neibourhood and have witnessed a lot. I have not seen it this bad EVER! I have been helping neighbours for the past week. It is fucking terrible!! Sad...good luck to you my friend!
I'm so sorry for you too Panthere. I sincerely hope you get some help. And some well deserved rest. I hope celebrities like Celine Dion will help raise monies through performances to help people like you Panthere. My heart goes out to you. You worked hard all your life to buy your house and your personal properties and to witness them being damaged in front of your eyes is heart shattering. Stay strong my friend. Your personal health is more important; stay safe and healthy. Try first to save precious memories that can never be replaced. I hope Prime Minister Trudeau does not forgot his roots and do his best to help Quebec and Montreal, his home base!

I don't live in Montreal, but there are many bridges all around of it. I didn't hear of any closed road/bridge for the moment. Me too, I am checking for the news to stay informed of last minute changes.
I mostly meeting in Montreal coming from the outside.

Currently the only bridge that would affect you is the Galipault which is closed and at the western tip of the island of Montreal (on Highway 20) and would probably only affect you if you were taking 81 up through Watertown to the 401 in Ontario and then towards Montreal. Even then you could merge over to highway 40 rather than highway 20 to get to Montreal.
Otherwise all other major roads leading into Montreal are pretty flood free to my knowledge.

I just saw the extent of the flooding on the CBC - please take care my friends, and do not drive into water that is running over the roadway! Where I live we have "flash flooding" as there is very little topsoil to hold the rain, and despite warnings everywhere and rain gauges at low water crossings, every time we have a flood somebody gets killed because they think that thier monster 4 X 4 truck can cross safely -
