Hey guys,

I didn't get a haircut for sometime now and not looking my best. Don't expect all these restrictions will be removed anytime soon. So, l am looking for a place/person who can do a haircut. If anyone know such place/person in montreal kindly inform. Probably PM is more appropriate in this case.

Thanks a lot

I do it myself, it's not perfect, but it's okay. You must have a clipper for sure.

Today François Legault said they where looking about reopening a little after february 8th. You should wait & see what he sais next week. I bet buisnesses will start reopening but 8 o-clock curfiew will stay for a little while longer.

That being said, If you search hair-cut in kijiji services, you will find a few new adds.

My feeling is Montreal area will still b in lockdown--the way it is now--- for some more weeks....alors que les régions éloignées vont reprendre graduellement leurs activités....et le couvre feu demeurer encore partout quelques semaines de plus....donc je ne prévois pas revoir ma superbe coiffeuse avant début Mars.

I was in the same position as you. I got fed up, found this youtube video and quite honestly, was happy with the result :
Not even sure if I'll ever return to my barber after this. Only thing, get yourself a large handheld mirror and good light.

I got a clipper at Costco and learned how to cut my own hair on Youtube. My first 2 tries were not very good but acceptable. Now I do a decent job.

A stylist I know well was forced to close his shop at height of pandemic (mid May), but he posted a sign on his shop window saying “Closed. Call xxx-xxx-xxxx.”

I called number, he answered, and sure enough he invited me over for a haircut in his home. Told me to keep it on the down low. I was a tad nervous about the lawbreaking. I pulled up to his house at the time he told me and parked on the street. Who is walking out with a fresh haircut?: the town’s mayor. Lol.

Just clean shave your head. Cheap, effective, easy and I have been doing it almost 20 years. You do need a geometrically evenly shaped head to pull off the look. If you have a big pumpkin head or an irregular geometrically shaped head, and it's just not going to work, I would use a round soup bowl placed over the head and cut around the edges with scissors. You can use a razor for the trim. Amateur barbers who are self cutting do not need any license.

If you can clean shave your head use Witch Hazel as a refreshing aftershave tonic.

During the first lockdown I got a massage friend was down to cut my hair. This lockdown I'm getting a stripper friend to do it. Obviously they got no experience, but who cares. They're the only ones seeing my hair anyways.

Plus it's a bonding moment.

I got the electric razors and all sort of clippers but apparently no real skills ... first time I tried during the first lockdown it was a disaster so I had to redo it ... second time I cut much short so it was decent apart from some missed spots and the occasional stray hairs ... since then my hairstylist happily offered to cut my hair if I really needed and I accepted towards the end ... but lately not really considering with the curfew and all who’s going to see it anyways ...

I saw the ad of Catherine this morning on kijiji, a trany who offers massage and hair cut. It is at your own risk, because she/he told me that the guy cried looking his face at the mirror after the hair cut :(

Look behind you.
^^^^^ Yeah, go to someone you know. Short version, barbers were open 2 weeks ago in Alberta, got an appointment, told her do not shave the back, short on the sides and half off the top. Ended up with a #2 clipper cut on my whole head ( had to even it out as she totally fucked up before I caught it.

I have developed a fear of getting my hair cut in a barber shop, why take chances I cut my own air now.
