Moi je renverrais Montembault dans le net.....2 en 2 il doit être capable de faire ça......

Hâte de voir Michkov la sensation russe, déjà 9 points en 8 matchs......c'est autant que notre capitaine....

La saison de sa vie pour Cole Caufield? .... son rythme est infernal.....je prie pour qu'il reste en santé....
Primeau will be between the pipes in Philly. I think it’s the right move since Philly isn’t a very good team & Primeau has to play against such teams in order to build his confidence. With Caulfield you’re correct the key is for him to stay healthy. His start is surprising considering that Suzuki has been literally invisible. Now it looks like Josh Anderson may miss a few games duemto injury however that may not be such a bad thing for the Habs since for the past few years he hasn’t really done anything. I still can’t figure out why he’s being put into the lineup game after game, season after season while more deserving players aren’t getting any ice time. Does he have something on St-Louis?

Wow! I stopped watching the game after two periods thinking the game was in the bag & this morning i find out that Philly came back to nearly tie the score! Anyways a win’s a win! I watched replays of the Couturier play & Xehaj getting the extra penalty & to be honest i don’t know for what! Not only did Couturier drop the gloves first but the other guy then jumped on him! Finally we saw some emotion from Marty St-Louis who was upset at the call. Sometimes i wonder if he’s not on drugs considering his lack of emotion behind the bench during games & postgame press conferences where he sometimes seems like he’s been watching an entire different game than the rest of us. Anyways at least Caulfield is scoring regularly.

Marty devait être furieux en retraitant au vestiaire!
C’est rare qu’il montre de l’emotion. Trop souvent ont dirait qu’il joue un role de zombie dans The Walking Dead. Je pense surtout au match contre les Rangers. Ca a l’air trop souvent d’un country club atmosphere a mon avis! Josh Anderson par exemple (et bien d’autres) semble adorer ce club!

Can you guys help me out with the correct French translation for the English word "goon"? My translator came back with two words, "gorille" and "voyou". Which is more correct when discussing a hockey goon?

Is goon a French word or do they just adopt the English usage of it in this context?
I’d say it’s hockey slang just like saying
‘’Le goon a shooté la puck au net pis le goaler a fait l’arrêt’’
That’s an example of perfect French when it comes to hockey.

Goon is not hockey slang in English. It's a word that is also used for organized crime hit men and those who enforce racketeering enterprises. So it has a broader meaning. I think it came to be used in English for hockey fights because the guys who had those fights seemed to be mainly employed for that purpose. Just like mob goons. The word Enforcer is also used in each of these contexts.
