What little things in life that scares you?

There are constantly 2 things that scares me which are:

- When showering and closing my eyes while taking care of my scalp, I am always scared that there is someone, or worst, something behind the curtain or glass door ... So I usually quickly clean my face up to reopen my eyes and reassure myself o_O

- During the night, you turn off all the lights at one level. You walk up the stairs and somehow you have that strange and anxious feeling that someone, and again, something, is watching you or following you ... I'm lucky, the light switches are at both the bottom and top of the stairs so I make sure that the stairs light is turned on so when I'm on top of the stairs I can turn it off. But I have a kind of OCD or neatness/perfection thing that I want my light switches to be all aligned (because having light switches at the bottom and top, it occurs frequently that the turn on side is different than the by-side switch) so sometimes I playing with the light to have everything neat and turn everything off.

So what are the little things in life that scares you? :D

Altough i "cope with it" i have this OCD thing too for little things like i hate when on my credit card it does not end with a round number. Like for exemple lets say my transations are 123.67 ... that bothers me. When i can (like at the restaurant) i will often give my tips accordingly to end on a round number like at least 123.70 or such

I have a worst OCD for my Xbox gamerscore, i absolutely do not want it to end by other things than 5 or 0. Rare are the games that have odd numbered achievements but when they do i usually avoid them unless its only a few and i know ill be able to do them. Once i screwed up my GS and i litterally hunted a game to "fix it". Thing is the OG game i uneven it was Luxor 2, a puzzle game i was absolutely SH!T at, so i was not able to complete the game to unlock it (wich required finishing it on normal).

As for your stairs fears... i used to be afraid of the dark or stuff like that when i was younger, but it became one of these "i conquered my fear trough mastery". Like now i have 0 issues with darkness, i even love it (i will sometimes just sit in the dark and enjoy the calm). I know my house (both floors) to a precise level that i could walk in them eyes close and have no issues. And funny thing the bedrooms on second floor have "steps" wich i often forget to tell peoples and sometimes they almost trip ... and im like "yikes sorry forgot about that" cause im so used. I mean i wake up in the night in darkness to go take a P and its just natural for me to "walk the step".

As for MY fears? Im not sure if you could call them "little fears" but i have vertigo quite easily. Had to go on my carpol a few times for various things and i didn't feel at ease even if there is plenty of places to walk. Oh and i hate roads where you "go face to face" like you know old roads between towns and such. I get nervous very easy especially when its a big truck or such because if it would deviate for whatever reason (using a cell or falling asleep) i would be deadmeat... Heck some peoples even provoque them because they want to "unalive" themselves and they do not care if they hurt others in the process. I feel more at ease on the highway.

Also funny enough im a "catch and release" kinda guy but i don't want to touch insects (well most of them). Like i try my absolute best to never kill insects but i try to catch them in a way i do not have to touch them, put them on a glass jar, then i go outside and just open it and drop them.

Just heights and being trapped/locked in place. Rollercoasters are still fun, somehow, but only after the first drop. The whole getting strapped in and climbing the first hill makes me insane.

I will start with, this is a legitimate fear. Especially when living/expecting to be alone.

Now my fun little anecdote. It's pretty much expected with me. :p I like being a voyer, and watching someone I am intimate with in the shower. Sometimes I just want to watch, sometimes I want to join. (I just don't want my hair wet.)

My ex just had to expect that 3 minutes after he went to take a shower, just long enough for him to get naked, and set the temperature right, and do whatever else (toilet) before he stepped in. I was going to show up to catch either a quick glimpse of him, or a nice long stare, possibly a smack on the bare wet ass, before I left him to the rest of his shower. ;)

 I sound like a predator.

As for the title.
I'm not sure what little things scare me. Little things annoy me, but life's taught me not to sweat the little things.

I'm afraid to trust or actually plan and build a future, with a deep seeded belief that the very moment I get within reach of it, or finally have faith and belief that things will get better, something will happen and I find myself picking up the pieces of the last shattered dream I just put my all into.

My little fear, has me always afraid to look past a few weeks into the future, because the future is never certain, everything could always change in an instant. Nothing is actually permanent in life.

I don't watch scary movies but if I happened to peek into one or a trailer, a particular scene might make me anxious at home if the settings is pretty similar e.g. a long dark corridor ...o_O

Not locking the door!

Sometimes I go to bed and wonder if the door is locked. I always get up to check.

When I am away for many days, and I didn't notice if I have locked the door, I can spend a few hours or days worrying about it. That's why I have a little ceremony now when I lock my door so I can remember that I did and don't have to worry.
