It aiin't over till it"s over est une des expressions associées à Yogi Berra.

Yogi Berra was talking about baseball, not hockey, when he made that statement. Yogi also said that “50% of baseball is 90% mental.” I am not sure either statement applies to hockey. Hockey is a more physical sport whereas baseball is a more cerebral sport. In baseball, games are played for 9 innings and other than the pitchers, nobody is getting tired. In hockey the guys are skating up and down the ice and all the players are getting tired. Therefore in baseball it’s much easier to mount a comeback in late innings. In hockey things are more over when they look over than they are in baseball. So Yogi wasn’t talking about hockey.

Only 1 win in 4 games for the habless habs. People are already starting to panic. The defence is terrible. Suzuki is obviously not NHL-ready and should be sent down to the minors. Price hasn't been able to win games by himself although he's still by far the team's best goaltender. People are saying that were it not for him Detroit would have scored 10 goals that night. One bright spot has been Drouin's play. More involved, more intense. Coach Julien looks like he's holding in a shit during every postgame press conference. People are already wondering if the habs won't finish last. Unreal!!! The season is barely 5 games old!!!

Les habs ont incroyablement manqué d'opportunisme en PPLAY....peut-être temps de remplacer WEBER par PETRY qui s'impose de plus en plus.

I was there, you can switch weber with god himself, nothing will help this powerplay. No presence in front of the net and they kept shooting from outside, not gonna score like that

Minnesota may actually be the worse team in hockey right now. They're old!!! Way too many players in their mid-30's for one. That's what happens when you hand out too many expensive longterm contracts to players in their mid-to-late 20's. Sure the first couple of years look good....but when those players are about to enter their mid-30's and the team is stuck with unmovable contracts then the franchise suffers.

Take Shea Weber. He looked good when he first arrived with the habs since he was still in his prime at the time. But now he looks very slow and the only thing left is the big slap shot on the powerplay. But teams know this and have learned how to defend it. And the worse part: Weber is signed until 2026!!!!! There's no way you can trade such a big contract especially for a player his age on the downslide of his career!

On the other hand PK Subban is a shadow of his old self and injuries have also taken their toll on him. Two bad, expensive contracts. But Subban is younger than Weber so maybe he's still tradable if the Devils find the right partner.

I think that it will be another up and down year, they will win games that they are not supposed to win and will lose games that they are not supposed to lose, it could be a make or break year for Bergevin as he has 2 more years left on his contract, and yes I can't wait for Poehling to join, he was absolutely electric in the season finale last year.:thumb:
