Semi final as in “final 4” ?... haven’t checked the new playoff format but isn’t it already a given that at least one team from the Canadian division will be there ? ... if the format doesn’t favour them they will have some tough matchups

Yeah, like final 4. My point was just in reference to normal season. I dont know what the formula will be with this fucked up season, and I dont really care since, imo, I dont think the eventual champions will be remembered as so.

I believe the format in the first 2 rounds is that the teams within each division are seeded 1-4 and play off until there is a winner in each division. Therefore all 4 divisions will be represented in the semifinals. The 4 divisional playoff winners will then be reseeded for the semifinals based on points. I personally am disgusted by this format, but it is what it is. The Canadian division will have a team in the semifinals whether they deserve it or not.

ok then it’s confirmed that we will have at least one Canadian team in the semis ... that’s how I had initially understood it before the season started..... what happens after that nobody knows , that’s sports .... of course I would have wished for the Leafs/Oilers/Jets (Won’t even mention the Habs at this point) to be more gritty and defence oriented as those two traits gives one a better chance to go deep come playoffs...

@Jupiter9 I understand your disappointment with the league tinkering and rearranging the divisions but under the circumstances what did we expect.... it’s not an ideal format as a lot of teams more deserving of making the playoffs will probably be left out .... it is what it is , and whether or not anyone wants to put an asterisk next to this season’s Stanley Cup champions is up to them ..... let’s not forget that all the leagues have been affected in one way or another....

P.s . would the Heat have made it to the finals if last year’s season wasn’t so short? ... would Brady’s Buc’s have won the SB if they had to play in New Orleans or Green Bay with full capacity crowds making those teams home field advantage count ? I personally doubt it ...

Grosse et impressionnante victoire....TOFFOLI rides again, rapidité d'exécution là ou ils sont à leur meilleur ....PRICE encore à la hauteur ....importante victoire p ce que les FLAMES et CANUCKS ont gagné aussi.....ne sont qu'à 3 pts des OILERS et JETS...
mais ca c'est une autre histoire .

la preuve de pourquoi jetais pissed off apres les joutes contre calgary cette equipe nest pas stable belle victoire contre les jets qui etait en feu dernierrement et on ne touche pas au puck pendent 2 game contre calgary sa me rend fou

Damn....8ÈME défaite en o/t......faut le faire ....ont dominé en 3ème et égalé le pointage grâce à une solide performance puis bang on perd en prolongation again....évidemment on récolte un précieux point mais on va devoir s'ajuster au plus vite.

A 3 vs 3 Montreal n' a jamais eu la bonne strategie...ou les bons joueurs. C'est pourtant simple ca prend tes joueurs les plus rapides, meilleurs scoreurs et qui savent conserver la rondelle. Donc Daneault n'a absolument pas d' affaire sur la glace. Malheureusement apres Daneauly y a pas grand monde de fiable sur les mises en jeu donc on cours apres la rondelle!

overtime is starting to be ridiculous if we would have won our share of overtime wins wee would be tied with toronto in ist place one thing for sure we have to start playing the game right off the bat and play for 60 min were showing character coming back from behind but we have to start winning games starting tonight go habs go

My opinion is that it will be a tight race between Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver for that last playoff spot in the Canadian division. May the best team win.

i actually think you can add oilers and jets fighting for a spot also its going to be tight for all 5 teams next 2 or 3 teams who can get some sort of winning streak from now to the end will make it in

oui les oilers ca devrait etre des match enlevent il faut absolument en gagner au moin 2 sur 3 et en temps reglementaire je suis heureux de notre dernierre victoire en surtant mais avec McDavid et Drysatil de lautre cote please no overtime il faut absolument commencer a gagner nos serie face a nos adversaire le probleme cette annee est que je ne sais pas c est quoi notre equipe on est tu une bonne equipe ou une equipe ordinaire aucune idee quelque victoire en ligne et on peut etre en tete de notre division et quelque defaite et on sort des serie si tout le monde ce mait en marche et jouer a leur plein potentiel on va etre correct so go habs go sorter en une grosse ce soir il faut qu on prenne notre elan lets do this
