Its a bit sickening reading these posts!

Though I am not surprised.

The "enlightened" group, the so called "thinkers" and liberal minded jerk-offs, who praise the words "respect", "tolerance" and "acceptance" talk the talk , but do not come close in understanding the significance of such words!

And before you start to explain to me your wisdom, please take a moment and look at yourself in the mirror and consider how tolerant and respectful you are of other people's views or values, though alien to your frame of reference!

I'm not sure who your post is aimed at or if I even really understand what the heck you're trying to say, but speaking for myself I'd be very tolerant and respectful in discussing any converging viewpoints regarding Sarah Palin's qualifications to be president.I haven't heard any material arguments supporting this or refuting the negative claims that have been made her against her by many people here.

Some people just seem to feel bad, or angry or upset because there's a lot of dislike out there for Sarah Palin. Well, I say tough shit. She put herself out there in politics and that's what it is, a popularity contest. Right now it seems like the majority of people think she's a dumbass. I really don't see what it has to do with values...

Wow this is about as bad as when he found out the Cowboys were eliminated from the playoffs.

In Hindsight, Palin had no business running for VP. She is not qualified to be president but why hate her? She was asked to run by the party. It is clear that this was a move of desperation by the RNC. Hate the RNC or McCain or something. As Porter mentioned, She has a different set of values than the members of this board or I but this is her choice.

BTW: Obama is terrible for the United States. I don't care if people from other countries like him. He was elected as president of the United States. I hope all these bad guys hate him. If not, he is not doing his job! look at the deficit! Where are the Canadians going to go when you need a bypass:eek:. Socialized medicine:confused:...Have a cold see a doctor have cancer or heart problems see a travel agent. I am not in a hurry to pay more taxes either whether it is for the Carbon tax or the soda pop tax. The problem is the land slide victory of the democratic party. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely! Also, Chicago politicians should not be allowed to run for office outside of Illinois.

Maybe Hitler was right in the U Tube video. I should have voted for Ron Paul!

How do you blame the deficit on a guy who's been in office for only 200 days?

The entire US deficit (I'm not talking about the annual defict) which had grown, over 225 years, to around 4 trillion dollars when George W Bush took office in 2001, more than doubled to nearly 9 trillion dollars by the time he left office. So, in other words, all the previous presidents combined dug a 4 trillion dollar hole and GWB, by himself, dug another 5 trillion on top of it. He was supposed to be fiscal conservative, remember that joke?? LOL...

If Obama is terrible for the US, what to say of George W. Bush?? Obama's doing just fine, thank you.

Where will Canadians go for a bypass? Right where they're going now, in their own backyard. Canada, which doesn't have the best health care system in the world, but still has one of the best & is the envy of many other countries..

Obama's healthcare plan has its flaws, yes. Like everything, it'll take some time & fine tuning in order to be acceptable to all. But it's a start. The current system is a mess. Too many americans don't even have health insurance. Millions of them. It can be chaotic to even those who have insurance. Heath care is currently being run for profit. It shouldn't be like this. People's lives shouldn't be run at a profit. As great a country that the USA is, its health care system sucks. It shouldn't be like this. It could be greatly improved & much more affordable if funds would be relocated in order to fund it. It wouldn't be that difficult. Just cut the billions that are going into defense. But that will create another debate. In my eyes & in the eyes of many, ANY healthcare plan would be and should be welcome. This current one just plain sucks & has been for years. The population is constantly growing older & the time for drastic change is now.

We're going off-topic & we could start a brand new thread to talk about this.

Can we agree on one thing?

Sara Palin has the voice of Her Tarleck's wife on WKRP and you may find that annoying and her values do not mesh well with that of Montreal hobbyists that particiapate on this forum. I do find her very attractive, however. If she were an Indy in Montreal I would pay her a visit or two if she offered GFE services and if she would be willing to role play as a sexy librarian, professor/teacher, business woman etc and wear pin stripes black stockings and 6" heels and seduce me. Also, her daughter is hot as hell. If she worked for Eleganza I would schedule her next trip. Under the right circumstances I could see myself doing a mother daughter with the Palins.

I think we can all agree on these points. I just don't see her as deserving of the title "the wicked witch of Alaska.

Oh, and I can't wait to see Nalin Palin either.

I don`t find her attractive at all. As a matter of fact, if i`d be willing to fork out big $$ on a high end companion & she shows up at my door, i`d do what i`ve never done before: I`d give her $20 as taxi money & politely ask her to leave.

On this count, i agree. Bristol Palin is a fox. Piper, who looks just like her, will be as good looking as her older sister in a few years.

Clearly it was a move to throw the election and hand the pile of shit over to the Democrats.

Wrong. Clearly it was a desperate on the part of the McCain camp to try to lure women voters who would have voted for Hillary Clinton had she been named as Obama's running mate. If Hillary ran, there's no way in hell that McCain would have named Palin as his running mate. It was a desperate & bold move by McCain, a move many RNC members were against at the time. The move worked for the first few weeks, then lost its fire when people began to realize that Palin was a weakling politically. Every interview she gave (which was rare) turned out lame & made her look terrible, including her interview with right-wing nut Sean Hannity. People realized that the McCain camp (with the blessing of the RNC) were hiding Palin from the media, for obvious reasons.

Mitt Romney as a running mate might have won the election for the Republicans. If not, he would have made it much closer than it was.

I disagree. Yes, Palin was out of her league and yes, it was a desperate move by the RNC, but not to win the election. Clearly it was a move to throw the election and hand the pile of shit over to the Democrats.

I couldn't disagree more. Clinton is 100X smarter and more clever and more experienced than the mayoress of Smallville. The Republicans clearly were sacrificing both McCain and Palin

Hmmm,

You're saying despite 8 years of pushing their agenda and doctrines through the country, and spending $335 million for the McCain campaign the Republicans picked Palin to sabotage everything they believe in and fought for while a their war against "evil" still goes on.

You're also saying the "MAVERICK" McCain allowed the Republican Party to pick his Vice Presidential running mate for his last chance to be President, and they picked her to deliberately lose.

Maybe you are saying the Republican Party leaders hated McCain so much they decided to betray him and sacrifice all the Party's beliefs and goals, the policies they knew would be reversed, and the incredible expenditures and work.

Or are you saying they knew they screwed things up so bad they wanted to "hand the pile of shit over to the Democrats."

What a fascinating analysis. Did you ever think the economy was just so bad Republicans couldn't win, even against the first "Black" Presidential candidate. How about they believed, however misguided, they were making the best choice they could and SCREWED UP! Maybe Obama and his campaign were just too good, plus the bad economic conditions were blamed accurately on Republicans. Maybe the Republicans, as usual, thought more people still saw things as they did and would believe what they said in their usual...we're the only ones who know what's right...way.

But if you want to say the real Republican goal was political self-destruction...;) :D...it is entertaining. Try thinking about this more... A LOT ...MUCHO ...BEAUCOUP more...lol.

Cheers,

Merlot

PS

Someone like McCain would never let the party bosses have the final say who to run with in his last chance.

Howard Dean tells Palin to stop lying

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Former Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean told CNN Sunday that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin had deliberately made up charges that the Obama administration’s health care bill would lead to euthanasia.

“About euthanasia, they're just totally erroneous. She just made that up,” he said. “Just like the ‘Bridge to Nowhere’ that she supposedly didn't support.

“There's nothing like euthanasia in the bill. I practiced medicine for a long time, and of course you have to have end of life discussions — the patients want that. There's nothing… euthanasia's not in this bill.”

Dean was referring comments Palin made late Friday in a post on her Facebook page. In her post, the former Republican vice presidential candidate said President Obama’s health care plan would create a “death panel” that would weigh whether her parents or son Trig were “worthy of health care.”

She discounted the administration’s view that the president’s plan would cut health care costs, saying the only path to lower costs was less treatment.

"And who will suffer the most when they ration care?" she wrote. "The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s 'death panel' so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their 'level of productivity in society,' whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil."

Palin has mostly steered clear of interviews with reporters since leaving office last month. "Democracy depends on you. That is why our troops are willing to die for you," she told the media in her farewell speech. "So how about in honor of the American soldier, ya quit making things up?" She spent several days last week in New York, meeting with her book publisher.
