yes,it now makes no sense to bring it in- but for the risk taker, its an easy challenge. i have friends who routinely travel across us borders and through airports with their personal stash. in most places, small amounts of weed are not a focus of law enforcement. of course, i still wouldnt want to get caught

All I know is someone gave me a cannabis vaping pen with a cartridge filled with some kind of liquid and i thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. I do not like smoking weed the old fashion way.

On my recent trip to Montreal, I stopped by the SQDC store on Ste-Catherine and I must admit I was really impressed. The progress since December is striking. No lines, a lot of good stuff on sale and the prices seem to be reasonable. And it is now open every day -- whereas it used to be four days a week, a line to enter and empty shelves.
I believe it can now be considered a sensible option for people wishing to stay on the good side of the law.

The prices need to drop and quality needs to improve yo compete with the black market. There are now online stores ( found a new one ) that sells oz for $210, 1/4 lb $700 and $1,800 for a lb... Top tier weed. My son still gets me to send him weed instead of government stores, cheaper and better.
Of course, there is always room for improvement. Online options though are obviously only available to Canadian residents, so what is left for tourists who come visit for a few days and have no local connections? SQDC stores are not that bad -- and way better than they used to be half a year ago.
I did not know an American could not get an online account. I am out of town a lot and have it sent to my hotel when I run out, never had an issue. Figured you tourists could order ahead and pick it up when you arrive at the hotel.
I have no idea if an American credit card will work. A NY Times article claims that "purchases usually require a Canadian credit card". Could be fake news, of course, who knows. In any case, I am not going to try, at least not until it is legalized in the U.S. at the federal level.
