OK it's only National Hamburger Day in the USA, but that doesn't mean Canadians can't celebrate by buying a burger near you and getting a deal on it:

There used to be a great hamburger place in Montreal called iburger, unfortunately I think they went out of business. The best burger I ever had in Montreal was Winnie's on Crescent Street around 20 years ago. Truthfully I may have just hit them on a good day. What I like about burgers in Canada is they aren't afraid to cook them rare if you ask.

You haven't had a burger until you had "The Jefferson" at QDC.....period.

I remember visiting the BurgerBar on Crescent Street during several years ago. It appears to be right next to Winnie's. The burger was fine and I'm a sucker for nice decor.

I remember chatting with the bartender, and watching her weigh the liquor bottles. She invited me to stay for somebody's birthday party. I stayed for a bit, but I had a meeting I had to get to afterwards. I kind of regret not sticking around and rolling the dice.

There are many options for burgers and steak in Montreal. I assume that burgers and streak are like this in all of Canada.

Montreal needs a Shake Shack for sure.
Shake Shack would clean up in downtown Montreal. If they had one on Crescent Street, there would be a line 3 blocks long to get in.
