Another year has come and gone. As is always the case, we had some good times and some not so good. It was a year of change and growth that we hope will continue into the future.
The past year has brought some changes to the MERB community. The most significant of which was the decision to make MERB a members only review board. As with most changes, this one brought with it a number of member concerns and comments which I hope were addressed to the satisfaction of most of those who expressed them. We felt for a number of reasons that this was a necessary direction for the board to go in and I believe that time has shown that the change was good for the community as a whole. We have gained almost 10,000 new members in the five months since the board went members only and a good number of them have been posting on the board and sharing their information and views. In five months there have been close to 22,000 new posts written and about 4,000 new threads created. Numbers that surpass any other Montreal review board by an order of magnitude and of which they can only dream of achieving. This is a sign of a growing and vibrant community and every member who contributes deserves the thanks and appreciation of the entire MERB community.
Another change was the creation of the Hotel Info section which was requested by a number of members. I hope that you have found it to be an informative section of MERB and encourage members to keep it up to date and use it as a reference for where to stay while in Montreal.
If members have any other suggestions how this community can be improved or expanded, please do not hesitate to contact me or start a thread with your ideas. There is also the MERB suggestion thread where ideas can be posted and discussed. We are always open to new, fresh ideas that will improve MERB.
I would like to compliment all members of MERB on the fact that suspensions for serious breaches of the rules are down significantly over past years. While there are still some things that can be improved, such as behavior in the Sports threads :nod: , and the usual small things such as members posting questions in the wrong section or including links to non-advertisers in 411 posts, I have to say that overall it has been a pleasure to moderate MERB in 2011. I am hoping that things continue on the same track and that the MERB community grows larger and stronger in the year to come.
It is you, the members of this community, that has made MERB the number one Montreal escort review board. It is the information and reviews that you post here that makes MERB the best forum for hobbyists to visit for the information we all want, and need, to have. I have total confidence that this will continue to be the best place for all hobbyists in Montreal for years to come.
