I was in my early twenties, in a public washroom in Kinsmen Park in Edmonton, an older guy came to me and put his inviting hand on my private parts. I told him to fuck off! That episode did not really affect me but I Wonder if this was just an isolated case. I just remenbered that old story as I was looking at the news tonight: a declared gay is going to be elected chief of state in a country in december. I believe this never happened before...I let you find out which country it is. I don't mind gays, but sometimes I Wonder...And I am so happy my two kids are straight!

André Boisclair is gay but never was chief of state, only chief of PQ. Very bright guy whose problem in politics is not to be gay but to have admitted doing cocaine. By the way, even if nobody seems to care, the country I mentionned is Luxembourg, the richest country on earth, and his next leader is Xavier Bettel.

As did GW Bush. The confessional, born-again nature of his confession appears to have gotten him some brownie points with some of his base and certainly didn't hurt his election results any.
I sort of suspect that many guys have been bothered by these perverts. When I was younger ( 20 ), a guy ( 35-40 years old ) put his head over the partition of a public toilet stall and winked at me. I pulled a knife out and shoved it towards his face. I fully expected to fight him when I kicked the door of the stall open. ( in the wrong direction ) All I saw was the guy dashing out the door at high speed.

It's a homophobic thread because of this hostility and fear that men have about being hit on aggressively by gay men. The aggressiveness isn't because they're gay its because they're MEN. Though considering the average demographic of this board is probably 50+ men I'm not particularly surprised but imagine yourself being in a conservation that someone in any public setting said out loud that he was happy that his children weren't gay. Is that in any way socially acceptable?

But some of the statements are clearly not related to the topic of sexual harassment and are rooted in the deeper fear and lack of understanding of homosexuality.
