There were regular MERB member parties from 2005-2016 and many members met many members at those parties. There were also smaller loosely organized parties mostly involving locals meeting at places like Cleos or other restaurants and bars. Back in the day there were a number of large MERB parties at the lounges of the Hotel de la Montagne and Hotel Lord Berri (both of which have since closed). After that there were some parties in 2014-2016 at various Crescent Street properties, some of which do not exist in the same format.

Those parties were awesome and a lot of fun, Sam has hinted at having a party when the situation with covid19 improves.
still remember those parties at Hotel de la Montagne. There was a girl called Ronnie if my memory is correct that was nice to talk with. Around 2012 or 2013 there was a party also at Pub PJ on St-Jacques Street where I met Mistsou (not the real one) and others that I can’t remember their names.
I remember meeting a Asian guy in one of thoses party's. He was so funny lol.

It was much easier in Toronto, at least a few years ago (before COVID). Every year there was always at least 4-to-5 social, "industry", meet and greet parties, and you ended up meeting with other TERB members

I met a lot of interesting people at the MERB parties, but your post for some reason triggered a memory of the Eleganza party which happened on September 15, 2007. This was a very memorable party from the standpoint of the agency girls in attendance (and agency girls were invited and attended all of the MERB parties). But what was strange about the Eleganza party was that all of the Asian invitees (and they comprised a lot of John's clients and were the majority group at the party by race) were all hanging with each other and off to the side, clique style, except for one of them who was a MERB member. He was the youngest and most gregarious of the Asian group and he approached me and the other white guys and talked to us like we were regular dudes. Although his review posting was somewhat weird, I like him and we discussed Chinese cuisine in some detail. He was from Beijing and had some very distinct ideas on how Beijing duck should be cooked and where in Montreal one should go to eat one (Beijing, the restaurant).
Before he came over I was basically left to chat with the other white guys at the party- Cloudsurf was one, and I knew him from other parties, and then there was this very funny Jewish guy from New York City. I don't remember his handle but he was a better looking version of the Comedian Gilbert Gottfried, and he was hysterical.
I also have one other funny memory. At one of the parties Joe T offered me and some other MERB members a ride back to our hotels or homes as the case was. I liked Joe T, fun loving guy who loved to party and he seemed pretty well liked. Problem was he was wasted, or so it seemed to me. I mentioned this to Special K, one of the other members who was getting a ride, and he said don't worry about it. And it was the first time I ever got a ride from Joe T and he handled it fine. Another time I was staying at Delta Centre Ville, another hotel that has been closed for years, and Cloudsurf gave me a ride. I think that was the Montreal Girlfriends Halloween Party in 2009.
I did. Twice. Once with a very cool bro he lived across the state from mine. We hung out twice but we lost touch.
Second time. It was with a very active member in here. This one was a huge mistake. He took this hobby somewhat too seriously as he was pursuing quasi-relationships with the SPs he met. Like WTF. Seriously? HUGE RED FLAG. More like a BLACK FLAG. Doh! Things got really weird. We met the same SP but in different dynamics. He saw her as an SP and I saw her as her civilian real self when she visited my city. I had no interest in her sexually as she was NOT my type at all since I am not a chubby chaser. LOL. We met for dinner and walked around my city and that was it. In all that time I was thinking to myself lol people actually pay for this?!?! This hobby bro saw me as some sort of competition and "threat" afterwards. Yeah okay whatever and his communications with me got hostile. So I cut off all contact. I have no time for this shit especially in this hobby. I came to this hobby to bang HOT chics not hang with dudes and to entertain his insecurities. Then a few months later he tried to contact me again and also he sent me his resume asking me to hook him up with a job as we were in the same industry.

There used to be get togethers over lunch as well, I attended a couple and once went to a party at De La Montagne with two girls from a Massage parlour , Audrey Montreal and one of her girls. Interesting and fun times
Beav, if I looked wasted then I probably was, that's why it was called a "party", LOL, I miss those parties as some of them were really wild as well as a lot of fun and I liked meeting and seeing all the guys and girls under one setting which was close to 200 at a lot of the parties, some of the highlights for me:
Seeing Sexy Judy at those parties who by far is the absolute biggest party animal that I have ever met in my life, there was not one party that she ever attended where she did not put on display of at least one absolutely insane, crazy, shocking as well as fun scene, you would be absolutely shocked if I told you some of the crazy things that I saw this very fun loving girl do at those parties.
I also remember one time at the Lord Berri I was outside in the back where all the smokers were, there was quite the scene, as I was talking to someone when all of a sudden out of nowhere Jenny Love shows up in front of me flashing her big naked boobs, I had no choice but to put my hands on them to check them out for myself
, Kiki, Tiannas, Pornstar Amy Lee, Mike from Goodgirls and a few others were also outside with us when all of sudden I heard someone shout out loud "Hey Mike, isn't it your birthday today" being that it was his birthday and him being surrounded by all those girls I will leave it up to your imagination as to what happened next, great, great memories for the ages!!

As per Joe T's post some of those party's around 5-6 years ago were epic! Lots of good times and great fun!
