This month my cable bill was $40 higher because my cable company assessed a $10 monthly fee for HD Technology, retroactive for the last 4 months, so a total of $40. The customer service rep told me that this is for "getting channels in HD."

Is anyone else getting this charge and what is the actual cost of this technology? Is this just another bullshit charge to tack onto my bill?

This has "class action" written all over.
