ok i need some of your expertise here, new to the sp scene in mtl, and would like somewhere that is sp friendly meaning they can come directly to the room if its late at night, no calling me by the front desk to see if i am expecting someone, i guess if i stay away from the 4-5 star hotels this wont be a problem, which i dont mind a cheaper place as long as its clean and in a good area, speaking of area., id like somewhere close to walking distance to crescent/st. catherines st

and the final thing is the parking, are there any hotel/motels that meet the above priority's and have parking above ground like a normal parking lot? stayed in downtown hotels b4 where its valet and i dont like someone driving my car, lol, just a personal thing

The majority of hotels allow the chick to simply walk in the lobby and take the elevator upstairs.

I've used probably a dozen 3, 4 and 5 star hotels there booked through Priceline and the only one which has a rule of someone coming down to let her in is the Novotel (she can't take the elevator without a key). It is the one exception I can think of. Otherwise, its not a problem.

There are lots of above ground parking lots where you park your car yourself if you head south of the Blvd. Rene Levesque towards the river (the St. Laurent, I mean). Its also cheaper than in one of the valet parking situations so that is an additional advantage of doing it yourself.

Actually, there are several. Loews' Vogue is one, and i believe the Opus (formerly known as Hotel Godin) also. Not sure about the 'W' and the 'Crystal'.
