Hello all,
Obviously there are only 10 spaces to fit in as many basic groups as possible. The groups here are nearly identical to a poll I accidentally found, with minor changes. Unfortunately, I had to leave out some large ethnic groups like Native Americans, Polynesians, and others due to the space limits.

Merlot,
Maybe I could be taken as an Euro-North American basic model... Dad from Europe, Mom from Canada...
What do you think about this? Am I fitting the bill???
Yes. Frankly, I just take you as gorgeous.

What exactly is Euro-North American ? Anyone who can trace their ancestors back to europe or anyone whose parents got off the boat ?
As you know there are many different people in North America, generally a great melting pot of ethnic combinations. To differentiate from a great confusion of ethnic varieties "Euro" was added to be more specifically North Americans of European descent. Because of the melting pot nature of people in North America there is no perfect label for this region, or any other region for that matter, which I thought should be covered.

The poll completely ignores Jews and also ignores those of mixed ethnicity unless that is what "Euro North American" is supposed to mean. What group does President Obama, Tiger Woods or myself fall into? I don't know.......I guess mutts and mongrels are not ethnic, they are just mutts and mongrels.

This is pointless. Largely religious labels inherently involve people of vastly different ethnic varieties, even "Jews", who range worldwide including Brazil, Russia, Mexico, South Africa, Iran, Azerbaijan, Panama, etc. Can you name any religious group of any significant size that has only one ethnic type? No you can't. Or are you willing to say all the Jewish people in dozens and dozens of countries are purely Semitic. Just take a look at all the flags indicating places with those who consider themselves Jewish, then tell us how to classify that variety??? If you prefer Jewish ladies try "Near Eastern"...or just say so. In any case, it's absurd to postulate that allegedly being unable to vote for one beautiful Jewish lady is an insult to all people of the Jewish faith.
Finally, DNA mapping proves Jewish people are not of one ethnicity:

I hope you are kidding about the use of the words "mutts" and "mongrels" which is disrespectful and offensive. Who would you rightfully apply that to? But if you want to call the ladies you prefer a mutt or mongrel...go for it and see how they like that. As for you implication that I am biased against multi-ethnic people I have an ethnic background of six distinct European nationalities with one Huron native ancestor, and I am VERY PROUD OF ALL. So, any implication of bias against multi-ethnic persons is automatically invalidated.

some of the most beautifull woman are of mix heritage (a lot of beautifull mulato women...) ... a reason why we have so many quebecoise cuties imo. almost every north american can trace their roots to multiple ethnic background.
Hence the Euro-North American choice for one of the largest segments.

can we talk of the different "shades" of beauty without bringing up the racist question? well the answer seem to be no
those who like
the Irish/Italian, philipino/norwegian or greek/russian(the nationality!
) mix, are encouraged, i'm sure, to state so in this thread...
Very true, so how does one accurately categorize millions of possible combinations??? Truth is there is no pure ethnic type of any variety. Over the last 7000 years at least migration and invasion has constantly mixed peoples.

but you can't expect the post starter to include every single ethnic groop and combinaison... and to link such omission with racism, well... wouldn't it be nice to stay on topic for a change?
Exactly! Just start by being reasonable about this.

Some people off mixed backgrounds tend to pull to one group more then another.
This days
almost everyone has some form of mixed background. Like the poll suggests just within the caucasians there a different categories, in accordance to there ethnic homeland but if we go back to the roman empire there was a hole lot of mixing going on in all this countries.
Goth's, celts, francs, mongols, greeks, roman, saxon's, syrians and Babylonians create the tapestry of Europe, the middle-east and norther Africa. I have seen norther Africans with blue eyes and blond hair a direct result of the conquest of Greece and Rome over the known world so everyone is mixed to some level.
Make that everyone! There is just no way to account for every variety or blend unless there is a poll with millions of choices and one could possibly identify every possibility to start with.
Remember this is very obviously not scientific and it certainly isn't an attempt to sharply define ethnic types, which is impossible anyway. The poll just uses general references and it's just a playful diversion. Hopefully there is no need to make a federal case out of this.
Lighten up,
Merlot
PS
Judging from the leader in the poll the "Iron Curtain" must have created a great deal of pent-up energy...
