It's my understanding that all advertisers and "SUPPORTING MEMBERS" are in red. Supporting members are also afforded extra features in their profiles. So PT are you going to become a "Supporting Member"?

Seriously though... I know the "support members" are members that sent some $$$ to Fred Zed. But do you have to send the same amount every year? Is the support member a lifetime privilege? Maybe Fred Zed could answer that himself.

Not even close... Money talk, regularly. I don't have the amount handy but Fred will be happy to provide the info to those interested.

Basically, Supporting Members only get bigger PM boxes, nothing more. They donates simply because they feel they get enough info back, they are proud to contribute and help ensuring the board stays free for all the other members. True, they are generous. That type of people still exist!

As far as I know, it's a vBulletin limitation as far as colors are concerned. Not much choice, it can be a different color but then, supporting and SP would still be that same color.

I have been a supporting member for about 6 years now and nobody has ever confused me with an SP, except in the MERB chatroom when the occasional TERB poster will send me a PM asking if I permit CIM.

And by the ways Clavie is full of shit, I did send money to Fred. I only did so because at the time I felt I had gotten some decent information here, not just on SPs but on Montreal in general. Many of those very informative posters from the early days no longer post here (EB Samaritano, Bob Crane, and my friend Chercherfemmes, just to name 3).

I figured the board had saved me a bundle of $$ over the years in all the info it provided me on the sps, so i just wanted to give back. I did send Fred a small token of appreciation a few months ago, and plan to again in the future. The thing i appreciate the most out of this deal is the avatar.

(MGmtl: I'm actually 'Ultra' BFE. And at times, i can also be MPSE, depending on the lady's needs. )
