Let me try to assist you with a couple of pointers for your trip.
Since you will be new to the town, I doubt that you will have a car for traveling around town. Since Montreal has a very extensive subway network (Metro), I suggest that you buy a week pass to the Metro lines to get you around. Taxi is another option, althouh it could get costly. However, if you have plans on renting a car, let me know and I could provide you with some info on that as well.
If you have an Entertainment book for Montreal handy, it gives some good idea as regards to touristy things for to do--going to the Imax Science Center, the Botanical Garden, etc. At your hotel, there are brochures for visiting these places.
Also, take a walk or a carriage ride to Old Montreal. It's a nice view and a good experience.
There are a couple of short 2 hr to 4 hour cruise tours that you could take and learn about the St. Lawrence river and other interesting historical stuff about Montreal.
STRIP CLUBS
The last one that I went to wasn't too bad. There were a couple of decent ladies there. It's called Club Downtown on Ste Catherine St. It's near major cross streets as Stanley and Peel.
