Over the past few months I have noticed a disturbing trend developing here on MERB. This is the habit of PM harassment, the insulting or attacking of members using the PM function. The number of complaints being received about this has been on the increase and it is well past time to put a stop to it.
As a result, I have amended the rules to include the following:
xv) Harassment of another member using the PM function is strictly forbidden. If you cannot post it on the board because it will break MERB rules regarding respectful posting, do not send it by PM either. MERB rules regarding respect apply to PM communications also. If a complaint is received, it will be acted on and it will result in a suspension. Repeat behavior may lead to a permanent suspension from MERB.
This will be taken very seriously and offenders will be suspended and repeat offenders will run the risk of a permanent ban from MERB. If anyone has a problem with another member, use the ignore function.
