The use of condoms for intercourse is also standard practice (that's what we're told and that's what I observe as a client, there's no way of verifying this independently), which goes a long way in preventing the transmission of STI.Thank you ! I was just wondering.
Thanks, yeah I was wondering about STI.I keep myself clean by taking showers daily.
If you meant "avoid STI" then that's a different thing and I avoid those by using protection, taking a (discreet) look at my clients genitals before putting them in my mouth, getting tested every 1-3 months and enforcing boundaries.
Nothing is 100% foolproof but I've been an escort for close to a decade and haven't caught an STI.
That goes to show how well condoms works at preventing STI! When I started seeing escorts about 7 years ago, I was sexually inexperienced and very anxious about getting an STI. I was researching them online for hours and even made several calls to a free STI info line (in Toronto) for reassurance. Seven years later, with consistent and careful condom use, I have always tested negative. That doesn't mean I won't ever catch an STI, or that it would be shameful to get one, but it shows that with condom use,as it is well known, the probability is very low.Nothing is 100% foolproof but I've been an escort for close to a decade and haven't caught an STI.
True, but there's other infections liable to skins and other areas, That was my questioningThat goes to show how well condoms works at preventing STI! Maybe seeing SP is just not for youTrue, but there's other infections liable to skins and other areas, That was my questioning
Already tried, just asking, thinkingMaybe seeing SP is just not for you
That leaves herpes, HPV and syphilis.True, but there's other infections liable to skins and other areas, That was my questioning
You unfortunately can't ever fully protect from hpv or herpes. I'm genuinely curious how one could see a good number of SP's and still remain clean of herpes and hpv. my understanding is that most people don't catch serious symptoms so are unaware. Too bad if you're one of the unlucky few who have frequent outbreaks.. I have a weak immune system (possibly more outbreaks) so I am quite terrified of catching both, maybe hobbying isn't for me either lolAlready tried, just asking, thinking
Your next girlfriend might have herpes, or it can be transmitted by the next girl you kiss in a bar one evening. It’s not specific to the sex work industry. You unfortunately can't ever fully protect from hpv or herpes. The reality is that you probably don't. but these two viruses are extremely common: 64% of the population under 50 years old has herpes simplex type 1 (source: WHO), but most are asymptomatic.I'm genuinely curious how one could see a good number of SP's and still remain clean of herpes and hpv.
yes but what are the odds of my next gf having herpes vs a sex worker?Your next girlfriend might have herpes, or it can be transmitted by the next girl you kiss in a bar one evening. It’s not specific to the sex work industry.
Have you ever had a cold sore?yes but what are the odds of my next gf having herpes vs a sex worker?
For Herpes (HSV)... the same risk.yes but what are the odds of my next gf having herpes vs a sex worker?
Exactly, Herpes is easily transmitted via mucous/saliva. An open/closed cold sore (lips) can increase transmission risk and is reflective of the virus being active and replicating (as opposed to laying dormant/asymptomatic) in the infected individual.Have you ever had a cold sore?
