i still don't understand why someone would use leolist when there's so many legit agencies in Montreal. I mean, it's like the prices on leolist are WAYYY better to take the risk. that's my 2c.
Theres a lot of ads incall by girls who are very hot but there asking like 600$ hres!! Not all are fakes just pricey

I don't really understand why the same subjects keep coming up, there are thousands of threads about this. But let's get through this together.

1- Leolist, Escorte Intime and Tryst are valid platforms for escorts to advertise, but yes, there are fake ads and scammers. However, many of us use them because not everyone wants to advertise on review boards like Merb, and those of us who don't want to can still be legit providers. Those platforms are tools, but they are not perfect and they are often not well moderated. However, for instance on Tryst your identity is verified, they ask for ID, so it's far less likely for someone to be a scammer on it, even tho there are a lot of profiles that are just meant to advertise OF. You can also validate that you're real on Leolist by submitting images of yourself holding a sign with the current date and your escort name, although some people try to bypass it.

2- It's relatively easy to figure out if someone is real. Most real escorts have an online presence and a website. We often have more than one ad. That is why X suspending our accounts pisses us so much, we can show clients our personality and that we are indeed a real person through this. Most scammers would never go as far as doing that. Also if someone has been around for a while, it's a sign that person is no scammer. Idk why a scammer would make a X, Throne, Bluesky and Instagram profile and maintain their activity. It's way too much work. Being a scammer isn't a job lol. Those scammers keep using fake pictures and changing their names because they are found out pretty fast.

3- This is why Merb exists literally. If someone is a scammer, it will be known pretty fast. Just don't see someone who doesn't have reviews and/or doesn't have an online presence and/or is new and has only been around for a few days or months.

4- As a member of Indy Companion, I can attest to the fact that we are all vetted by trusted members. Maybe the escorts in our collective aren't all in your price range and we all offer different services, but we are all real.

That was easy, wasn't it?

Just crazy what you can do with free Grok these days... watch out. I did this in about 1 minutes from a still image.

It's almost impossible to say when it's AI now. Maybe it's a bit more obvious in videos, but pictures are quite convincing. It is sad since some of us work hard to get unique pictures and images. Soon, photographers in this industry will become obsolete; when everyone turns to AI and it becomes the new norm even for clients, there will be no point in spending thousands of dollars. Especially that photos are now so polished they look AI already.

Because it's lucrative.

On X, I've seen so many fake profile (by fake I mean the person's location is Africa/Nigeria but advertise in North America) and even commenting, retweeting etc.
And people believe the person in the picture is the one.
First source of income it's by meeting X requirements of profile that has followers, engagement, etc.
Other source of income comes from OF profile by bots, a throne account to receive gifts or money, even scammer pretending to be an escort and obviously ask you for deposit to "meet" her.

Now you know why I stick with ladies I have known for years.
No scams, no guess work, no worries, no ghosting, not even being late, just an amazing time each time with friends who go out of their way to please and be kind to each other.

I'll say that with an educated guess you can go through those scammers but it's not yet but becoming like LL.

If we use what @Lunaseraphim mentions as basic check you should be fine as well.

That is not the point. I don’t think I need hints.
Yes I could use LL and probably avoid the scammers, I am a pretty good judge of people and it was part of my job to be able to read them, but why waste my time and play Russian roulette with the kind of session I am going to have when I can have a near perfect one eveytime with ladies I like and look forward to seeing.

I am not into discovering gems or putting a new notch on my revolver.
I am quite pleased to see gorgeous women that I know who will go out of their way to make me happy every time..

Well, it is a job, and a full time one! If a serious scammer can make a few grant a day, you can be certain he will put the required hours into it.

Well organized marketers (and scammers) don’t even need to login into any social network directly. They use tools. The cost of maintaining 10 or 1,000 profiles internationally is minimal today and the success rate is clearly effective. Convert that to romance scams and some are clearing 10s of thousands a day.

Of course, from your prespective... as with most experienced members we don't fit in this category and are all pretty unlikely to fall for such scams. But in reality, for every merb member/experienced john, there are thousands of people out there just thirsting to make the plunge. Just look at the 411 section here. The number of people who can’t spot an obvious fake ad has always been more frequent than it should. "Motivated reasoning" is a powerful tool for scammers.

Agreed. But photographers have been on this path for a long time. Photoshop was the first crack. Smartphones and filters were the next. Then studios and props even further. Not saying it’s good. I don’t like it either. But it’s not new and it’s not stopping.
What is different now is that models and creators are more empowered than ever to generate exactly the content they want without relying on anyone else. That shift was inevitable once the tools became good enough. Its still going to cost thousands of dollars... but it will be to fund the tools instead of the skills.

Sadly, as they say... adapt or die.

Yes, photographers were on this path before. But those who immortalize moments won't see their work replaced by AI: journalists, weddings photographers, birthdays, conferences, events, sports, etc. But as you say, for creators and models, I am not too hopeful especially that their need is content en masse where 75% of it is crap. Maybe creators will want to stand out by showing real photos eventually, they'll want to show a "not-AI badge" and market around that, I don't know.

Honestly I think that AI or other tools will never replace an artistic direction or even artistic "mistake".

Some work of art are often like made in the moment and not with a clear and well detailed description. Let alone the feelings embedded in it.

Yes we will get beautiful drawn, rendered thing. But we won't feel anything touching from it.

I so AGREE! But, creators and influencers are not artists by my definition, they don't need art, they want volume not quality, and that's why I was pointing at them.

Someone recently said that we underestimate how humans are bored quickly, and I remain hopeful because of this. With all the looking alike and homogenous content, people will get tired of AI. We'll need emotions.
