i hate abolitionists. not doing anyone any favors. I saw signs like men and women will never be equal while prostitution exists. Well then, i guess women will never bee equal...
Or signs like ''real equality between men and women." I often feel like the women i see have as much (if not more) power than i have. I am the one giving up large sums of money to be intimate for very short periods of time. The girls I see set their limits and I respect them always, no questions asked. Who has the power?

Do these female abolitionists believe male prostitutes do not exist? I was actually propositioned by one in Turks and Caicos at a resort bar. They do exist and if there is equality of prostitution, then men and woman are equal, and there is no need to abolish it. Furthermore male prostitutes not only serve the needs of men, they also serve the needs of older, lonely women. Who can forget this scene in Midnight Cowboy of male prostitute Jon Voight asking for payment from his old, lonely, scorned female client?

i'm against abusive human trafficking, pimping, and all sort of violence against woman/man...but abolishing prostitution may cause all the scene going fully underground and will create even more victims of human trafficking....
i'm totally for legalization instead of decriminalization which Mélina May are standing for.

decriminalization will create more victims...
but if fully legalized, and regulated just like a therapist job, putting rules on it!!!

Legalizing prostitution as a legitimate business means taxes, restrictive regulations, audits, enforcement for working without a license, trade unions, etc., etc. and in the end only would reinforce the stigma. All will result in higher prices because of the large cut taken by the government and its regulating agencies and will hart both working girls and the clients. I believe that the current practice when the restrictive law is not enforced is probably the best. Indy girls however should register some business (photo, event organizer, home assistance etc.) to semi-legalize their income, pay minimal taxes and contribute to the provincial pension plan.

On dirait que les manifestants anti-prostitution sont un peu comme les pro-vies... à côté de leur pompes...
Savent pas de quoi ils parlent et croient savoir ce qui est le mieux pour les principales intéressées...
C'est quoi déjà? Mon corps, mon choix?...

Legalized will mean taxes and the end of BBBJ. Are you ready for non GFE service? A gaffe style, CBJ and FS. No BBBJ, no DFK, and no DATY. Government will want a cut out of every transaction, prices will go up 30%.

Legalized prostitution = regulation, which means taxes, higher prices, no GFE, and probably less client participation and reduced demand. Meaning there will still be a black market, mostly on the street level.

There are thriving black markets in every jurisdiction in the world which has legalized, for all of these reasons. Which is why decriminalization is the only model that makes sense.

This is being pushed by CLES, a feminist organization. They do this every year during Grand Prix, it is all smokes and mirrors to show to the world that Montreal is such a great clean city. Also this is a way to attract more donations and funding from the government. The ppl working get paid to run these things.

Yes black market will mean very high prices and it will be like the Wild West. Exactly, decrimilization would be the best care scenario.

The protests and discussions around prostitution awareness consistently occur before the Grand Prix.

It is anticipated that the Quebec government will soon seek to profit or impose taxes on those involved in the sex industry, similar to their actions with slot machines, tobacco, and cannabis.

This government is driven by a voracious desire for financial gain.

Wasn’t a Trudeau who said that he didn’t want to regulate what’s going on in a room?
