MasterCard putting enforcement demands on OnlyFans, etc.

The Cliff's Notes version:

Apparently, US Code 2257 requires the content producer to:

1. Have everyone appearing in the content fill out a form specific to 2257;
2. Take photocopies of TWO government issued photo IDs that show that the individual is over 18;
3. Keep these documents on file, subject to Government inspection.

Now, MasterCard (a private corporation) is telling it's adult content portals (OnlyFans, Porhub, etc.) that:

1. The portal must obtain the 2257 forms and ID for everyone appearing in all adult content;
2. The portal must make them available for MasterCard to review on demand, or;
3. Mastercard will stop processing payments to the portal, effectively choking off the revenue stream to the portal, and ultimately, to the content producer / provider.

It will be interesting to see If Visa follows. That would account for 90%+ of all payments made to adult related portals like OnlyFans. What is more disturbing is that private credit card companies are now enforcing US Federal law?
